There is a pandemic going on.
Not one of disease.
One of disconnection.
For we are more separated than ever before.
This is evident in our business relationships, our family relationships, and even our friendships.
How often do we spend time with each other just listening?
Can you remember the last time you just held someone, not for sex but just to hold and be held?
Touch is a great way to connect with another person.
To hold their hand or just touch them on the shoulder or arm as a sign of support or connection.
We are social creatures.
Social creatures need to feel connected to others.
When we are isolated, alone, and solitary we do not thrive.
Being in the presence of another person who is truly listening to us and seeing us opens our hearts and our souls.
Experiencing the touch of another, the compassion and support of another, does more for us than any drug.
We all need it.
So why is it so hard to find?
Do you feel the pain of disconnection?
Can you express your need for connection with another person?
