It doesn't begin with a splash of insight.

Or a roaring silence.

The momoent might not be the most pleasant.

And it could seem a little too ordinary.

For the beginning of presence is not some huge revelation.

Not some flash of deep awareness.

Revealing the secrets of the universe and beyond.

No, it starts much simpler than that.

So simple, we might just mis it.

We might find ourselves questioning, is that really it?

For the beginning of presence comes from something so much more basic.

From that split second when we realize we are not present at all.

That might seem like a paradox.

For how can we have presence from the act of recognizing that we're not present?

Yet that simple awareness is more profound than we can imagine.

More deep than we can comprehend.

All presence begins with the act of seeing that we have not been present for so much of our lives.

We are where we are because of that lack of presence.

So that insight is the first step onto the path of true presence.

Of the awareness that now we can tell the difference.

As if someone just turned on a light for the first time and we can see everything we never saw before.

Presence can be blinding to the mind.

Yet the body knows that feelings all too well.

Once we have come to that place where we are aware that we are not present, we can begin our long journey on the path towards presence.

Step by step, inch by inch, we move ever so slowly to the meadow of presence that we long for.

That we both desire and fear.

For presence is not something to take lightly.

Once we set upon the path to greater presence, there is not turning back.

No falling back into unconsciousness.

It is now our life.

We become consumed by the fire of our own desire to be present to life itself.

Regardless of the pain or challenges we meet along the way.

There is no turning back for us now.

Life has brought us to this most delicate point, and we have no choice but to follow through.

To take the next step.

And the next.

Until we are so embedded into the path itself that we cannot remember a time when we were not aware of presence.

In our own lives, and everyone else's.

We now know the truth.

Seeing ourselves so clearly.

Our presence is hard won, and we will not give it up easily.

So now we travel this new path that leads us only into mystery.

And we would have it no other way.

Welcome to the new world of presence, and to your next evolutionary step.
