We have people we connect with throughout our life.

Some stay with us short time.

‍

Others remain for many years.

‍

Yet there are some friendships that are truly special.

Those that are beyond time.

They are the ones that we may not see for years, yet the bond still exists.

The ones with whom we share the most personal matters.

Deepening with each encounter.

For these friends have a very special place in our heart.

These are steadfast friends that can be closer to us than family.

With whom we join together to laugh, cry, shout, and smile.

Sharing our lives with them as they share their lives with us.

This special bond is not one to take lightly.

For the bond of friendship that has been built over a lifetime is as strong as steel.

Perhaps stronger.

‍

When we come together with these special friends there is magic in the air.

‍

Not the magic of impossible things becoming real.

‍

It is the magic of belonging.

‍

Belonging to this special group of people who can feel each other's joy and saddness without saying a word.

Who can comfort us with the gentlest of embraces.

‍

And can lift us up when we are down with a silly joke or care-free memory.

The friendships built over a lifetime transcend time and space.

They live in a very special place indeed, that dwells in the warrmth of our hearts

We are not all lucky enough to have these special relationships in our lives.
