Nature has it's own wisdom.

It speaks to us when we have the ears to listen.

We can learn so much from nature that can truly help us.

Taking the time to be in nature is never wasted.

When we spend time in nature we can transcend our own issues.

Whether we go to the beach, the mountains, or perhaps a giant canyon of fjord.

The forests, dessert, and wilderness all have something to teach us.

If we listen, observe, and take in what is all around us.

Even when our problems seem so large and daunting.

They can seem insignificant when compared to a giant mountain looming above us.

Ancient trees can remind us of how little impact the things we worry about actually have over time.

Will our worries and concerns matter at all in another 50,100 or 1,000 years?

When we stand on a cliff peering into the expanse below, seeing layers of rock that are hundreds of millions of years old, what significance do our little tribulations have compared to them?

Nature brings a new perspectives to our lives.

It reminds us of the cycles of life, of the changing nature of existence, and our place in this magnificent world.

The oceans carry in them hundreds of millions of creatures below the surface.

Underground there are all manner of insects, reptiles, and burrowing mammals.

The complexity of the world around us is so far beyond anything we have to hold in our own lives.

Taking time to sit in nature, feel it, connect with it, behold it, is one of the most precious things we can do.

To remove ourselves from our normal day-to-day routines, and step outside of our familiar surroundings.

There is so much to be gained from connecting to nature on more than a superficial level.

Not to go somewhere beautiful to just check it off our bucket list.

But to embrace the glorious colors, smells, sounds, and images that nature provides to us in abundance.

That is being present to the most wonderful gift that life can give us.

The gift of feeling how amazingly intricate life is in all its forms.

To feel the deep silence of night's sky.

Or the warm hug of midday sunshine.

So much awaits for us out there in nature.

Waiting to enrich our lives and remind us of the delicate and powerful world we live in.

It is all there for us to drink it in.

If we choose to truly be connected to this home we callMother Earth.

When was the last time you took the time to immerse yourself in nature?
