The path of healing is not of getting rid of things.

‍

Or releasing different sides of ourselves.

‍

We are not here to remove unwanted aspects of ourselves.

‍

Something very different is needed.

‍

By desiring to get rid of some aspect of ourselves, we are still fighting against it.

‍

That does not serve us.

‍

The more we push against something the more it persists.

‍

So trying to get rid of some part of ourselves is a self defeating action.

‍

What we truly need and desire is something lese.

‍

Something very different.

‍

There is a different way to approach our healing that works much better.

‍

For what we really desire is not to delete some old pattern or way of being.

‍

What we really want is to be more whole.

‍

To be more at peace.

‍

In order to achieve that state we must learn to integrate all these unwanted sides of ourselves, not throw them away.

‍

We are here to learn to love ourselves more, not less.

‍

All the sides of ourselves.

‍

Not just the sides we like or feel good.

‍

But to integrate the sides that feel yucky, painful, guilty, and ashamed.

‍

Especially those sides.

‍

By integrating them they not longer control us.

‍

Our awareness and consciousness around them is increased.

‍

For the more we look for things within us to get rid of, the more we will find.

‍

The more we look to integrate and love about ourselves, the more we will feel whole and at peace.

‍

This process is not one that we get done all at once.

‍

Or in a few moments.

‍

It is a process that takes a life time and then some.

‍

For we can always find more ways to love ourselves.

‍

More ways to be compassionate with ourselves.

‍

And even more ways to accept all the sides of ourselves.

‍

This is what true healing looks like.

‍

What it feels like.

‍

The path to wholeness is paved with acceptance.

‍

So what have you been trying to get rid of in yourself?

‍

Can you find a way to integrate it and accept it instead?
