Many things heal us.
From our emotional pain to our lack of self-worth.
We go deep into our process to feel better.
I was just out on the west coast for a healing intensive.
There were many friends and people I knew that I had not seen in years.
As well as friends I had made on Zoom but never met in person.
It was three days of ceremonial work in a container of over 35 people.
Many who had challenging experiences.
Others who found joy and peace.
Something I have not felt in a long time.
On the first and second night I connecting with many people.
Some just came up to me as I was sitting by myself to share their process with me.
I'm not sure why, but I was just filled with so much love for everyone, I beamed compassion at everyone who came to me.
A woman lying down next to me said later int he night, "Boy, you really worked a lot tonight."
Yet for me it wasn't work.
I never felt like I was facilitating anyone or guiding them through their process.
And by the third night I was able to truly take in the connection I felt all weekend long.
Then it stuck me.
What I was feeling deep inside was sense of belonging.
That this was exactly where I was supposed to be.
I was overcome with emotion of how nourishing and joyful it made me feel.
And that's when I realized just how healing the sense of belonging truly is,
As well as how powerful it is.
Many of us live in a world where we feel disconnected, alienated, and alone.
Without a true sense of community.
That separation can be very toxic to our soul.
While the feeling of true connection can be one of the most healing things we can experience.
For me, it brought a true sense of well-being into my body.
And they felt it.
Now, even days later, I still back in the warm glow of that embrace.
Belonging truly is one of the most powerful medicines.
If you do not have a community that you feel that way about, go find it.
Find the people who you can open your heart to and they can open their hearts to you.
Experience that sense of belonging for yourself.
See what healing you receive from it.
Then let me know...
