[NEW EPISODE] Walking Away to Wake Up with Graham Skidmore

EPISODE SUMMARY:

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Graham Skidmore, former Rocket Mortgage executive turned entrepreneur, activist, and mystic.

For two decades, Graham helped design and scale one of corporate America's most influential client acquisition and marketing operations engines, checking every box the culture told him mattered: the C-suite title at a twenty-thousand-person company, the six-figure income, the house, the car, the country club. What he discovered at the top was that the height of his success was also the height of his misery. Stepping away from what looked like a life well-built began as what he thought was burnout, and revealed itself over time as a spiritual initiation that redirected the whole arc of his life.

The eight-year journey that followed took Graham through healing, awakening, and a full re-examination of the systems he had spent decades helping to build. What emerged was a body of work that sits at an unusual crossroads: executive credibility, systems architecture, spiritual depth, and a fierce commitment to human sovereignty.

Through his teaching series I Didn't Come With an Owner's Manual, and through the ventures EnGen, SATH Solutions, and Harmony Health, Graham is designing what he calls a blueprint for life beyond broken systems. His core conviction is simple and radical: the power was always meant to reside with the people, and one-size-fits-all systems, whether corporate, cultural, or technological, quietly cost us our gifts, our sovereignty, and our sense of what we are actually here to do. He also believes AI, used with wisdom, can enrich human intelligence and agency rather than replace them.

Together, Sam and Graham explore what happens when someone with an insider's understanding of the machine decides to build something more human instead. They discuss burnout as a signal of misalignment rather than personal failure, the reframe that says it is often the system and not the person that is broken, and the intersection where consciousness, ethical AI, and regenerative systems meet. Graham brings the rare voice of someone who has lived in both worlds, and who speaks fluently to executives and mystics alike. This episode is an invitation to consider what might be asking to be walked away from in your own life, and to trust that what looks like collapse may in fact be the doorway to a more authentic, empowered, and purposeful way of being.

Show Notes

Segment 1

Sam opens with a blog reflection on ancestral healing — the idea that when we face our own deep pain, we are also releasing inherited grief, fear, and trauma carried down through our lineage, freeing both future generations and the spirits of those who came before us. He then welcomes guest Graham Skidmore, a former corporate executive who spent two decades building a 20,000-person company before recognizing that his outward success masked deep personal misery. Graham shares how leaving his career led him through a battery of Western diagnostic labels, a friend's intuition about his psychic sensitivity, and ultimately a transformative mushroom journey that opened an eight-year path of shadow work and spiritual awakening — one he now frames not as burnout, but as an initiation guiding him toward his true calling.

Segment 2

In this closing segment, Graham explains that his message emerged not through corporate-style planning but by learning to surrender and let insight arrive in its own timing, leading him to focus on education, tools, and systems that realign human living with consciousness and "Divine Intelligent design," now expanding into individualized wellness work through the Harmony Health Institute. He shares his daily practice — gratitude before rising, empowering "I AM" affirmations, and time in nature — as the foundation that lets him access clarity and work more effectively, and reflects candidly on the mixed reception from his tightly-wound corporate circle as he's opened up about this path. He closes by reframing AI as a tool that can support but should never replace human agency, urging people to see life's struggles as catalysts for growth centered on love rather than as mistakes to fix, and to trust the signs — a phrase, a conversation, a passing thought — that accumulate into guidance.

00:00:51.950 --> 00:01:06.260 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So, let's get to it, and of course, first, we start off with my blog post from a couple of years ago. This one's actually kind of a significant one for myself, and today's blog post is entitled.

00:01:06.910 --> 00:01:10.890 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: When we dive deep into our own healing.

00:01:11.480 --> 00:01:14.850 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: We heal our ancestors as well.

00:01:16.240 --> 00:01:22.249 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: When we start on our… On our healing path, there is a lot of work

00:01:22.750 --> 00:01:25.479 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: There's a lot to work through.

00:01:25.960 --> 00:01:30.800 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Our years of living brings with it trauma and pain to process.

00:01:31.160 --> 00:01:37.719 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: After we have been on the path for a while, we find there is something more to work on.

00:01:38.110 --> 00:01:42.509 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Beyond our own personal experience.

00:01:42.810 --> 00:01:52.089 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: For as we dig into deeper levels of healing, we find that there is something we might not have expected.

00:01:52.210 --> 00:01:59.120 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Something deeper that resides in our cells or our DNA.

00:01:59.530 --> 00:02:04.030 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And that is the work of ancestral healing.

00:02:05.510 --> 00:02:10.469 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: For we are not an isolated being that came out of nothing.

00:02:11.070 --> 00:02:15.570 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: We carry within us the history of our lineage.

00:02:15.760 --> 00:02:17.630 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Of our ancestors.

00:02:18.330 --> 00:02:23.580 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: If they did not survive and reproduce, we would not be here.

00:02:24.830 --> 00:02:30.690 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: This is easy to understand, yet there are deeper implications.

00:02:32.340 --> 00:02:36.599 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Ones that are not apparent in our daily lives.

00:02:37.290 --> 00:02:45.210 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: The pain and suffering It is not just from our parents.

00:02:45.920 --> 00:02:50.440 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But their parents, and those who came before them.

00:02:50.630 --> 00:02:53.240 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: It is all passed down to us.

00:02:54.090 --> 00:02:55.510 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: We might look

00:02:56.040 --> 00:03:03.930 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: We might look like a grandparent or a great-grandparent, yet we inherited more than just their looks.

00:03:04.850 --> 00:03:11.989 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Our inheritance includes the extreme emotions they may have felt as well.

00:03:13.180 --> 00:03:22.310 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Emotions like fear, anguish, pain, loss, grief, As well as their suffering.

00:03:23.550 --> 00:03:30.400 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Sometimes we might notice that we feel sad when there's nothing to feel sad about in our lives.

00:03:31.420 --> 00:03:36.309 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Or we are fearful of something that we've never had any experience with.

00:03:37.540 --> 00:03:46.640 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: These may all be things that someone in our lineage had a reason to fear, and that fear was passed down to us.

00:03:48.120 --> 00:03:54.449 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Our bodies are the record keepers of that which has come before us.

00:03:56.430 --> 00:04:00.680 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So when we start to peel away the layers.

00:04:01.960 --> 00:04:06.480 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Of pain, guilt, and shame from our own lives.

00:04:06.760 --> 00:04:11.910 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: We might find even more challenges lie beneath them.

00:04:13.160 --> 00:04:16.060 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: It can be very surprising to us.

00:04:16.190 --> 00:04:23.120 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Especially if we don't feel a personal connection to those who came before us.

00:04:24.520 --> 00:04:31.089 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Even if we don't know much about our family history, or what happened a few generations ago.

00:04:33.090 --> 00:04:39.950 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: When we do come upon these deeper layers of healing, it can feel overwhelming.

00:04:41.260 --> 00:04:45.220 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: As if the sadness or grief or pain will never end.

00:04:46.230 --> 00:04:52.090 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Confusion can set in, because it is not our pain, or sadness or grief.

00:04:53.090 --> 00:04:57.029 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yet our bodies still hold these emotions.

00:04:57.320 --> 00:05:00.719 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Keeping the emotional record of our elders.

00:05:02.200 --> 00:05:08.489 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: When we dive in and have the courage to face these emotions and process them.

00:05:08.660 --> 00:05:12.520 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: We do not do it just for ourselves.

00:05:13.340 --> 00:05:19.499 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: For in some way, we are healing the pain of our ancestors as well.

00:05:21.870 --> 00:05:29.309 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And by healing that pain, We prevent it from being passed on to future generations.

00:05:30.190 --> 00:05:39.380 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Not only do our children and grandchildren benefit from the bravery of our healing work, energetically.

00:05:39.520 --> 00:05:43.490 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Our ancestors are benefiting from it as well.

00:05:44.580 --> 00:05:48.860 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So, facing these deep wounds, are not

00:05:48.980 --> 00:05:54.280 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That are not even our own helps many people.

00:05:55.010 --> 00:05:57.220 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Not just ourselves.

00:05:57.690 --> 00:06:00.340 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But our whole lineage.

00:06:03.070 --> 00:06:12.430 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So… I wrote this blog post after sort of a personal experience with with lineage healing.

00:06:12.630 --> 00:06:24.440 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I, I was, a couple of years ago, summertime, I, I was, attended a ceremony, And…

00:06:24.950 --> 00:06:29.030 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: This extreme grief and sadness came up.

00:06:30.560 --> 00:06:35.070 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And it's not that, you know, I don't have things in my life

00:06:35.470 --> 00:06:40.150 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: that I have reason to feel sad or grief over, especially from the past.

00:06:40.410 --> 00:06:43.660 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But this felt deeper, it felt older.

00:06:44.410 --> 00:06:51.310 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And I had this vision kind of come to me of my father, who passed away when I was just a teenager.

00:06:53.470 --> 00:06:55.680 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And the sadness and grief.

00:06:56.310 --> 00:06:59.099 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That he had held on to most of his life.

00:07:00.210 --> 00:07:03.590 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Having lost his first wife to suicide.

00:07:04.060 --> 00:07:07.650 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: and other… Things that happened in his life.

00:07:11.200 --> 00:07:14.929 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And it felt like it even wasn't just his, but…

00:07:15.320 --> 00:07:20.709 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: His father, his grandfather, his great-grandfather, my great-great-great-grandfather.

00:07:22.900 --> 00:07:25.520 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And… and the thing is, although…

00:07:25.700 --> 00:07:34.289 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I know, well, something of my mother's lineage. I don't know a lot about my father's lineage. He never really spoke about

00:07:34.580 --> 00:07:39.689 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: You know, his parents. He was estranged from his brother and sister most of his life.

00:07:40.580 --> 00:07:44.159 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So I never really knew much about it.

00:07:44.580 --> 00:07:47.800 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And him and his family.

00:07:48.060 --> 00:07:54.719 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But, but in this… Ceremony and this experience, it came through loud and clear.

00:07:56.160 --> 00:08:00.470 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And it really… Surprised me, because although

00:08:00.750 --> 00:08:07.569 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I've had, through my healing work, maybe glimpses of stuff with him, and healing my relationship with him.

00:08:09.830 --> 00:08:13.140 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I never felt like I was healing his pain.

00:08:13.240 --> 00:08:15.819 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: His loss. His grief.

00:08:17.900 --> 00:08:21.679 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So, it was… Kind of a surprise for me.

00:08:24.160 --> 00:08:26.899 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And it was a surprise not because…

00:08:27.520 --> 00:08:37.450 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I haven't heard of people doing, you know, generational healing in ceremonial work, but it was just the first time for me

00:08:37.559 --> 00:08:40.810 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And I've been on my healing path a long time.

00:08:41.470 --> 00:08:47.370 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So… it was just a… Truly a deep surprise for me.

00:08:48.500 --> 00:08:51.249 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: This… this one particular incident.

00:08:52.780 --> 00:08:58.490 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And so, when I came back and, you know, writing my blog posts are always…

00:08:59.190 --> 00:09:07.179 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: my process of integration, my process of making sense of the things I experience and I go through.

00:09:08.940 --> 00:09:12.909 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And so this one is one of those blog posts.

00:09:13.780 --> 00:09:22.190 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: where… I had such a… a deep feeling in my body.

00:09:22.300 --> 00:09:24.180 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: From the experience.

00:09:24.550 --> 00:09:32.220 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: that I couldn't really… Make sense of any other way.

00:09:36.100 --> 00:09:42.289 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And so, I really dwelled on this idea of ancestral healing for a while.

00:09:43.040 --> 00:09:48.840 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And spoke to some friends about it, spoke to people I know who have experience with it.

00:09:51.030 --> 00:09:56.380 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And I really… although it may not make much sense to some of you.

00:09:56.950 --> 00:10:03.479 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I really do believe when we… Do our own healing.

00:10:04.000 --> 00:10:12.129 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And when we come across Healing like this. That's not only personal, but transpersonal healing.

00:10:13.200 --> 00:10:14.830 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That I do believe.

00:10:15.710 --> 00:10:21.360 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: It… It reverberates forward as well as backward.

00:10:21.710 --> 00:10:27.179 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That not only are we not passing this pain on to any future generations.

00:10:28.130 --> 00:10:31.810 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But we're also helping our ancestors to heal.

00:10:32.120 --> 00:10:41.730 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But their spirit, their soul, their consciousness, wherever it may be today, is lighter.

00:10:41.940 --> 00:10:45.619 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: for having done this work, is freer.

00:10:46.260 --> 00:10:48.330 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: For me, having done this work.

00:10:50.280 --> 00:10:51.899 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And so, I guess…

00:10:55.010 --> 00:11:02.759 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: my… Reason for sharing this is for those of you who are also on your healing path.

00:11:04.360 --> 00:11:11.110 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: who are also… You know, dealing with some very challenging, very deep emotions.

00:11:12.060 --> 00:11:16.120 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That if the same kinds of feelings come up for you.

00:11:16.480 --> 00:11:24.550 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That if you feel like you're healing the pain or trauma of a parent or grandparent or great-grandparent.

00:11:24.900 --> 00:11:30.060 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: to honor that feeling. Don't just dismiss it as something crazy.

00:11:31.440 --> 00:11:34.560 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: To really honor that, and know that

00:11:35.260 --> 00:11:40.070 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: You know, if we have that sense, that feeling, that inclination.

00:11:40.270 --> 00:11:42.709 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That maybe there's something to it.

00:11:43.640 --> 00:11:48.539 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That maybe we're not quite as crazy as we think we are.

00:11:49.890 --> 00:11:55.419 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So… That is my blog post for this week.

00:11:55.750 --> 00:12:00.179 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: The title, again, is When We Dive Deep Into Our Own Healing.

00:12:00.520 --> 00:12:14.699 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: We heal our ancestors as well. And of course, you can always find my blog post on theconsciousconsultant.com, as well as on the radio station's website, TalkRadio.nyc slash blog.

00:12:15.460 --> 00:12:17.020 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And now.

00:12:17.460 --> 00:12:30.140 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: It is my extreme pleasure to welcome to the show Graham Skidmore, former Rocket Mortgage executive turned entrepreneur, activist, and mystic.

00:12:30.540 --> 00:12:44.249 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: For two decades, Graham helped design and scale one of corporate America's most influential client acquisition and marketing operation engines, checking every box the culture told him mattered.

00:12:44.460 --> 00:12:53.489 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: The C-suite title at a 20,000-person company, the six-figure income, the house, the car, the country club.

00:12:53.830 --> 00:13:01.049 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: What he discovered at the top was that the height of his success was also the height of his misery.

00:13:02.110 --> 00:13:17.300 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Stepping away from what looked like a life well built began as what he thought was burnout, and revealed itself over time as a spiritual initiation that redirected the whole arc of his life.

00:13:17.850 --> 00:13:29.060 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: The 8-year journey that followed took Graham through healing, awakening, and a full reexamination of the systems he had spent decades helping to build.

00:13:29.410 --> 00:13:43.360 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: What emerged is a body of work that sits as an unusual crossroads. Executive credibility, systems architecture, spiritual depth, and a fierce commitment to human sovereignty.

00:13:43.870 --> 00:13:59.600 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Through his teaching series, I Didn't Come With an Owner's Manual, love that title, and through the ventures NGen, Seth Solutions, and Harmony Health, Graham is designing what he calls a blueprint for life beyond broken systems.

00:13:59.600 --> 00:14:09.270 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: His core conviction is simple and radical. The power that always… that was always meant to reside with the people, and… and one size

00:14:09.410 --> 00:14:21.689 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And one size fits all, whether systems, whether corporate, cultural, or technological, quietly cost us our gifts, our sovereignty, and our sense of what we are actually here to do.

00:14:21.800 --> 00:14:30.999 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: He also believes that AI used with wisdom can enrich human intelligence and agency rather than replace them.

00:14:31.370 --> 00:14:34.019 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Welcome to the Conscious Consultant Hour Graham.

00:14:34.250 --> 00:14:43.820 Graham Skidmore: Well, thank you for having me, Sam. That was, that was quite the, that was a pretty incredible, summer you've done… you did there. I gotta, I gotta, I gotta hand it to you.

00:14:43.820 --> 00:14:44.650 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Well, it's a little…

00:14:44.650 --> 00:14:50.789 Graham Skidmore: That really was! I mean, of all, you know, the paraphrasing, that's where I was like, the way that you restructured that really was incredible.

00:14:50.790 --> 00:15:02.550 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Well, I had a little help. I had a little help from my friend Claude. But yes, I try and take what my guests give me and put it into something that fits

00:15:02.750 --> 00:15:08.769 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: my needs, but I'm really fascinating with your story, because

00:15:09.160 --> 00:15:12.030 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So many people in the world

00:15:12.940 --> 00:15:19.409 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: They buy into society's vision that we are here to

00:15:19.960 --> 00:15:30.380 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Be successful, have a great career, lots of money, get the title, the recognition, the wife, the kids, the dog, the white picket fence, you know, own your own home.

00:15:30.660 --> 00:15:32.279 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: All these things.

00:15:32.800 --> 00:15:37.810 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That, especially today, are getting more and more out of reach.

00:15:39.230 --> 00:15:42.889 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yet, somehow, when we get those things.

00:15:43.290 --> 00:15:59.789 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: they don't quite make us feel happy. They don't quite solve the internal, sort of, existential challenges that we're working with. And so that's why I was interested in having you come on. So I'm just curious if you can give us

00:15:59.790 --> 00:16:11.880 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: just the Reader's Digest condensed version of how you came to that place of leaving it all behind, and what were the challenges in leaving it behind?

00:16:13.330 --> 00:16:19.270 Graham Skidmore: Well, since you asked for the Reader's Digest version, look, it wasn't… it really wasn't hard. I was a miserable human being.

00:16:19.280 --> 00:16:28.929 Graham Skidmore: I had had enough. I said, this can't be as good as it gets, something's gotta give, and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired, and so, I'm open to a new direction.

00:16:28.930 --> 00:16:40.029 Graham Skidmore: Right? And that was really, you know, and so, in that respect, that's then what kind of kicked open the door for me receiving some different information, you know, via what they want to call it, direct downloads, or other people in my life.

00:16:40.130 --> 00:16:42.419 Graham Skidmore: You know, that, that…

00:16:42.770 --> 00:16:48.050 Graham Skidmore: spirit or universe, whatever you want to call it, communicate it through to kind of help guide me. And that's really what

00:16:48.050 --> 00:17:11.749 Graham Skidmore: what kicked me off, on my journey was that I just… like, at this point in time, I'm leaving my corporate career. I was only, like, 40, 41 years old. I'm like, I got a lot of years left on these tires. I'm not looking to be miserable for the next 40 or 50 years, right? So my motivation… and I… so my motivation was really high to not feel bad. I didn't even want to feel good, right? I didn't even have the aspirations of feeling good. I just wanted to feel way less bad.

00:17:12.010 --> 00:17:25.919 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Got it, got it. Was there an incident, or was the particular thing that happened was the tipping point where you said, forget it, I'm outta here? Or was it just a gradual build-up where you just said, enough's enough?

00:17:26.390 --> 00:17:33.879 Graham Skidmore: It was… it was a mutual thing, right? I was with an organization, right? When I started, there was 400 people. When I left, there was 20,000, right? I was there for 20 years.

00:17:33.880 --> 00:17:34.550 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm.

00:17:34.550 --> 00:17:45.040 Graham Skidmore: you know, it was very… it was my identity, frankly, right? It was success, it was building something, there was pride, all of those things, and so I never thought I would leave, they never thought I would leave, however, you know.

00:17:45.040 --> 00:17:58.060 Graham Skidmore: the skills that are needed to grow a company to 20,000 people are very different than the skills that are needed to maintain a company of 20,000 people, right? For example, right? Like, so, where I was rough around the edges and lacked polish.

00:17:58.060 --> 00:18:18.730 Graham Skidmore: again, it was quick… it was okay to be a little rough around the edges when you're building something. But when you're already built, and you're at 20,000, now things like stage presence, communication skills, other stuff, right? Which, I just never spent time developing those things. It wasn't necessarily what I enjoyed, and so things were happening so fast that I just… I didn't have the time to make the changes.

00:18:18.730 --> 00:18:30.030 Graham Skidmore: I also had a… somehow, you know, a gut feeling that some… my time was limited, even though I was trying to go against that grain, against that feeling. And, you know, the CEO and I sat down, and he was kind of like.

00:18:30.030 --> 00:18:46.150 Graham Skidmore: you know, oh, I should also add that, right? So, you know, the things that I did to get by, you know, eventually kind of caught up with me too, right? You can only kind of, you know, party or live life, you know, burning the candle on both ends before you get burned, I guess, right? And so some of that started to creep in my career, and he's like, hey, man, let's make some changes.

00:18:46.150 --> 00:18:58.509 Graham Skidmore: you know, this isn't working, and I was like, yeah, I agree this isn't working, and instead of making some changes, I, you know, I just decided to leave, which was a surprise to all of us. I had no plans or whatever else, I just knew that

00:19:00.060 --> 00:19:03.260 Graham Skidmore: It was just gonna be more of the same had I stayed in the current spot, right?

00:19:03.260 --> 00:19:07.879 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Was it a surprise to you when you made the decision, or you knew that decision was coming?

00:19:08.270 --> 00:19:27.899 Graham Skidmore: Oh yeah, it was absolutely a surprise to me. Even though I had in the back of my mind that I thought… you know, I thought that I probably had about another year left in me, in the situation, to continue to try to put infrastructure in place to protect my teams, and to insulate them, and to empower them before I had to leave.

00:19:28.140 --> 00:19:34.590 Graham Skidmore: That was really what I was focused on. Yeah, and so in that respect, it definitely, you know, caught me a bit off guard.

00:19:34.590 --> 00:19:35.390 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm.

00:19:36.030 --> 00:19:38.850 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And then, what sort of…

00:19:39.230 --> 00:19:52.619 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: like, got you started on a spiritual path. Like, like, even you people come from that environment, you may leave, you say, oh, I need a break, you might go on vacation to Tahiti for a month or something.

00:19:53.090 --> 00:19:57.859 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But getting put on a spiritual path, like, there's gotta be something that triggered that.

00:19:58.690 --> 00:20:02.179 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, and to your point, for most of

00:20:02.400 --> 00:20:19.530 Graham Skidmore: my life, I never even thought really about religion, spirituality, anything besides, you know, what was sold to me as, go to work, make money, build the house, that's what the American… you know, that's what you're here to do, right? You're here to be a consumer. You're here to do your part to buy stuff in the economy, which I certainly did.

00:20:19.530 --> 00:20:33.739 Graham Skidmore: And so, yeah, you're right, when I left, I didn't necessarily have this idea of a spiritual journey. I thought I was going to go down a corporate… another corporate career, right? And I just could take a little bit of time for myself. Well, there was kind of two parts, I guess, that really kicked off that spirit… the spirituality component.

00:20:33.780 --> 00:20:40.759 Graham Skidmore: Or three parts. One, so I started to understand myself through the Western lens. I was like, alright, in order, before I can go back to work.

00:20:41.010 --> 00:20:55.239 Graham Skidmore: I need to be happier and healthier and able to kind of take on what comes my way. I just don't have the… I'm just not in the right space, to do that. So I went through the Western lens, and I was like, alright, okay, guys, come on, fix me, tell me what's wrong with me so I can, you know, go back to work.

00:20:55.490 --> 00:21:06.869 Graham Skidmore: And so, you know, they said, alright, cool, all right, well, here's some stuff for you. And they, you know, and so they gave me some, some diagnoses of, autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyscalculia.

00:21:06.970 --> 00:21:13.910 Graham Skidmore: Ehrlen syndrome, which is these, the lenses, definitely not a fashion statement. Elixithymia.

00:21:13.910 --> 00:21:27.330 Graham Skidmore: And, I don't know, I think that was like, alright, that's enough for me to kind of go in. I don't… you know, let me just digest some of that before I figure out… look, and initially, that was helpful to me, right? Because it gave me a new lens, it gave me a vernacular, a different way of understanding myself.

00:21:27.330 --> 00:21:30.870 Graham Skidmore: Understanding my experiences, recognizing how things were different.

00:21:30.870 --> 00:21:47.570 Graham Skidmore: But look, that's the same way that words can lift us up, they can bring us down. And so what I found was, the more that I kind of leaned into understanding myself through that neurodivergency lens, the more I also started to identify with the… with the limitations, right? With… with just being put inside of a box.

00:21:47.570 --> 00:21:58.540 Graham Skidmore: And so that all of a sudden went from a honeymoon period… then it's a honeymoon period, right? Things were good, but then all of a sudden they weren't so good anymore. And then I was like, all right, again, I got, like, 40… I'd like to think I got another 40 years left on this planet.

00:21:58.860 --> 00:22:15.119 Graham Skidmore: I'm not gonna feel crappy, and so… then I was even, frankly, I was even more concerned, right? Because I went to the experts, and they were just like, yeah, you know, you got a rough… you got a rough wiring, you know, tied to you. You gotta figure this one out. And I… and so I was talking to another friend of mine.

00:22:15.380 --> 00:22:22.000 Graham Skidmore: Then, so that was kind of like the first part that kicked me off and kept me curiosity and determined that there had to be more to this.

00:22:22.100 --> 00:22:26.480 Graham Skidmore: Understanding of myself and being happy than what it presented itself.

00:22:26.480 --> 00:22:46.980 Graham Skidmore: And so I went with my friend Sunshine, and she was like, well, hey, you know you're, like, actually, like, really psychic and stuff, right? And I was like, what are you talking about? You're crazy, right? I didn't believe in that stuff, I didn't… and I sure as heck didn't have any experiences like that, as far as I was aware of, right? And the images that I had in my head were all sensationalized from, like, sci-fi and comic books.

00:22:46.980 --> 00:23:11.179 Graham Skidmore: Right? As opposed to what turned out what I actually really experienced, right? So I didn't recognize any of that. I was like, you're crazy. But then, of course, you know, the pride, or the ego, whatever you want to call it, got the, you know, also was a little curious, and I'm like, hey, I don't know, it would be kind of fun to have some of that stuff, right? But, you know, of course, as opposed to thinking about, you know, spirituality and healing, I'm thinking about myself, I'm thinking about it from the sense of, well, shit, if I can predict the next card in blackjack, this is going to be great.

00:23:11.180 --> 00:23:16.360 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Right, right. Just give me a couple of good lottery numbers, and that'll be fun.

00:23:16.360 --> 00:23:30.269 Graham Skidmore: Exactly, right? So that was kind of that road that I went down, and as you can imagine, right, that was a shortlist scenario, it wasn't very fruitful or anything else, but it at least piqued my curiosity. And then, you know, Sunshine also said, hey, look.

00:23:30.660 --> 00:23:41.770 Graham Skidmore: It's up to you, I'm not telling you what to do by any means, but I am going to acknowledge that I got pinged to share this message with you, which is you may want to explore doing a mushroom journey. And, you know.

00:23:43.040 --> 00:23:55.829 Graham Skidmore: drugs weren't my thing, right? Booze was my thing, shutting myself down. I didn't, you know, in hindsight, I recognized why I did that, but it was, you know, it was an unconscious kind of a thing, right? And so I just… I only say that to say that I was just uncomfortable with the situation, because I didn't have history.

00:23:56.010 --> 00:24:04.060 Graham Skidmore: Right. And it was, therefore, I didn't have control, and, you know, God forbid I give up some control along the way, right? And so, it took me about 6 months, because

00:24:04.260 --> 00:24:23.180 Graham Skidmore: at the time, I… I don't know why, right? But I just felt like, wow, there's a lot of responsibility on the other side of this door for me if I go through it, so I gotta… so I can't… I'm not gonna do this until I'm ready to accept it. I don't know what it is, I don't know why I feel this way, but this is just how I feel, and it was strong enough, so it took me about 6 months between when the seed was planted to when I walked through that door.

00:24:23.180 --> 00:24:32.640 Graham Skidmore: And that… and so it was kind of a culmination of those different steps together that started leading me down that spiritual journey. And then once I did the, you know, the mushroom journey, that definitely, you know.

00:24:32.900 --> 00:24:49.890 Graham Skidmore: you know, it was like putting nitrous on everything for me, right? And then, you know, I took the next… I ended up spending the next, well, all in, about 8 years just working on myself, where that was just my… that was my job, right? So I was able to make a lot of progress and a lot of… I guess in a relatively short period of time, because that was all I had to do.

00:24:50.140 --> 00:24:51.450 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Right.

00:24:51.600 --> 00:25:11.229 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So, I'm curious, with that mushroom journey, did… were there some insights, or were there some revelations that came to you that just kind of, like, blew your mind, or just said, like, oh my god, or was it more like it just gave you a really clear lens into the way you've been living your life, and realizing, I can't keep living my life that way?

00:25:12.060 --> 00:25:22.900 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, you know, the first… because anytime I felt the need to kind of go through a very major transition, I've kind of felt called to go through a journey. So there's a couple journeys. Each,

00:25:23.280 --> 00:25:39.679 Graham Skidmore: just in full transparency, in this first journey, it was… it was kind of weird. I don't know how else to describe it, but the feeling was like… let's say I was like a… I was on an island, and then all of a sudden, all these moats just started to come down and connect.

00:25:39.680 --> 00:25:40.170 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: just exp…

00:25:40.170 --> 00:25:43.549 Graham Skidmore: And it just felt like my mind expand.

00:25:43.810 --> 00:25:57.859 Graham Skidmore: and all of a sudden become open to things. And so, some of the… so one of the… so some of the information that crept into me was obviously, wow, there's more to me than just this lifetime. You know,

00:25:57.960 --> 00:26:01.280 Graham Skidmore: Then, you know, I got some, you know, some stuff about the future.

00:26:04.270 --> 00:26:20.739 Graham Skidmore: and I got some stuff about, okay, you need to… there was more of the, hey, you need to start understanding yourself in a new way, you need to understand who your genuine and authentic self is, you need to understand yourself through this kind of lens of consciousness, and so it was… for me, it was really more about…

00:26:21.100 --> 00:26:27.019 Graham Skidmore: Expanding my understanding of what reality was, but at a very… at a cursory level.

00:26:27.480 --> 00:26:35.590 Graham Skidmore: And then telling me that now you gotta go figure it out. Which, based on how I learn, I mean, that's what it is. I mean, no one's gonna tell me anything. I gotta get out there and put my hands in it and dig in the.

00:26:35.590 --> 00:26:36.190 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: dirt.

00:26:36.190 --> 00:26:41.580 Graham Skidmore: to figure stuff out. And so, that was… so it really sparked the,

00:26:41.720 --> 00:26:50.399 Graham Skidmore: the curiosity formed me to continue and go down that spiritual path and understanding myself, which… so then I went down the work of a lot of healing.

00:26:50.510 --> 00:26:53.459 Graham Skidmore: Shadow work, trauma…

00:26:53.750 --> 00:27:03.300 Graham Skidmore: figuring out who I am, right? Because I didn't even know who I was anymore. I felt like I was just an accumulation of learned behaviors and habits to get by. So I had a lot of peeling of layers to get away.

00:27:03.300 --> 00:27:03.740 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Wayfans.

00:27:03.740 --> 00:27:09.219 Graham Skidmore: So that's kind of where I then spent the, next, probably, year or two focused.

00:27:09.870 --> 00:27:10.960 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And, and…

00:27:12.170 --> 00:27:24.519 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: when you… after going through these experiences, you kind of looked back at that time which you felt was burnout, and you say now that was a spiritual initiation? Can you explain that?

00:27:25.230 --> 00:27:32.860 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, I mean, I would call… yes, you know, one of the… and I think, you know, some of your guests have shared this same stuff too, right, is understanding light, Earth as a classroom.

00:27:33.210 --> 00:27:33.920 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yes.

00:27:33.920 --> 00:27:48.950 Graham Skidmore: Right? As a living and learning environment. And so, yeah, so I absolutely have come… come back to recognize everything in my life, you know, happened as it needed to, as it was supposed to, to prepare me for what I needed. And so it was, yeah, it was a catalyst, right? And where the Western lens says.

00:27:49.300 --> 00:28:11.260 Graham Skidmore: you know, if things don't go the way you want them to, you know, it was a failure, it was a mistake, it was guilt, it was shame, something along those lines, right? Where, in the spiritual world, it was no. You needed to get on this right path, you weren't paying attention, we kept… we kept giving you the, you know, the easy way out, you kept ignoring us, so we… so, you know, so we made the… so we turned the car for you.

00:28:11.260 --> 00:28:13.190 Graham Skidmore: Yeah.

00:28:14.290 --> 00:28:17.620 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Right, right. And so…

00:28:18.310 --> 00:28:28.309 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: You know, you spent 8 years really going on this journey of self-exploration. At one point, did you say, like, okay.

00:28:28.620 --> 00:28:39.810 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I need to now share some of this with other people. This is really my life's calling to help people, not to go back and just get a regular job.

00:28:41.540 --> 00:28:44.300 Graham Skidmore: So, I knew that the minute after I had the journey.

00:28:44.440 --> 00:28:45.549 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Okay.

00:28:46.070 --> 00:28:50.379 Graham Skidmore: However, You know, only about…

00:28:51.490 --> 00:28:57.149 Graham Skidmore: I don't know, what would it be now? 6 to 8 months ago, did I feel comfortable to start talking?

00:28:57.370 --> 00:29:10.440 Graham Skidmore: Right? And to start putting myself out there, and it's been a great… and so it's also been a progression, right? The kind of stuff that I talked about, and what I was comfortable with, like, my knowledge regarding consciousness and Earth is a living environment, right? You know, I had to kind of get comfortable that,

00:29:10.840 --> 00:29:13.689 Graham Skidmore: I… I had it… that I had enough experience

00:29:14.120 --> 00:29:19.109 Graham Skidmore: and access to knowledge to be able to share this stuff. It was so different than my corporate life.

00:29:19.110 --> 00:29:35.950 Graham Skidmore: That, you know, I just was in my own… frankly, I just was in my own way, right? People had curiosity, nobody questioned me, nobody challenged me, right? It was just… it was just all my fears, anxieties, things like that in my own head, preventing me from feeling comfortable to, you know, to fully step into myself. And so that's really what the last 6 or 8 months have been about, has been…

00:29:35.950 --> 00:29:44.249 Graham Skidmore: has been that next journey of kind of now stepping out publicly, so it was about a 6-year… 6 to 7 year difference between, I know what I gotta do.

00:29:44.530 --> 00:29:47.669 Graham Skidmore: an okay, I'm ready to start doing it.

00:29:47.670 --> 00:29:48.410 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yeah.

00:29:49.000 --> 00:30:06.239 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Wonderful, wonderful. Yeah, and it also goes to show, like, you don't have to necessarily rush into it, right? It's not like, okay, I know what I'm supposed to do, I gotta start doing it right away. Sometimes it's okay to, like, take the time to really sink into it, allow it to really permeate.

00:30:06.240 --> 00:30:11.579 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Your body and your consciousness fully to then say.

00:30:11.610 --> 00:30:17.810 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: okay, now I am ready. Like, as you, like, say, to have that personal sovereignty.

00:30:17.900 --> 00:30:24.879 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: To be… to be able to make the choice when it's the right time for you, not on anybody else's timeline.

00:30:26.990 --> 00:30:51.400 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, that's one of the… that's kind of… that's one of the reasons why I wanted to share that, because we're not all here on the same journey, we're not all here to learn the same thing, we all don't learn the same way, we certainly all don't have the same path, right? And so, I think sometimes there's not enough variation in people talking about the journeys, and, you know, and if you talk about spirituality, people think, oh, you just… oh, so you just, you become enlightened by sitting in the corner, meditating, and not letting anything to bother you.

00:30:51.880 --> 00:31:14.920 Graham Skidmore: No, what is enlightened about… about sitting in the corner while all kinds of injustice and other things are happening around you, right? Nothing changes in that world. Doesn't mean that that's not an important part of things, right? But it's certainly not that simple. It's certainly not that one-dimensional, and it might be that… and that might be the journey for some, too, right? But that might not be the journey for others. And so, I think… anyway, so that's why I wanted… so I appreciate you bringing that up.

00:31:15.660 --> 00:31:25.910 Graham Skidmore: Because, you know, because there's, yeah, there's a lot of that happening right now. A lot of people are going through their own different, you know, sets of changes, and trying to figure out what's normal, what's not normal, and, you know, the thing that's normal is what you're going through.

00:31:26.250 --> 00:31:32.920 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Right, exactly, exactly. Okay, let's take a quick break, and when we come back, let's…

00:31:32.930 --> 00:31:51.060 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: talk about what you are actually here to share, and what you've decided to start to come forward with, and, you know, how your unique lens, you know, what your flavor is of this type of work, okay?

00:31:51.240 --> 00:31:52.070 Graham Skidmore: Yeah.

00:31:52.150 --> 00:32:11.089 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Awesome. So, everyone, please stay tuned. You're listening to The Conscious Consultant Hour Awakening Humanity. We do this every Wednesday, 12 noon to 1 p.m. Eastern Time, right here on TalkRadio.nyc, and all over social media, and we'll be right back with our guest, Graham Skidmore, in just a moment.

00:33:25.690 --> 00:33:32.280 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And welcome back to the Conscious Consultant Hour Awakening Humanity. So, Graham, you went through this

00:33:32.450 --> 00:33:38.640 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: sort of 6-8 month incubation period, well, Six to eight year, probably.

00:33:41.930 --> 00:33:48.009 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: What, like, how did you formulate what you wanted to share with people?

00:33:49.410 --> 00:33:54.110 Graham Skidmore: You know, well, one of the kickers for me was I had to learn to stop trying to formulate and let things come to me.

00:33:54.110 --> 00:33:54.750 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Ugh.

00:33:55.100 --> 00:34:03.159 Graham Skidmore: Right? And so, yeah, so I literally, you know, we talked about the algorithms of social media. Well, you know, the universe has its own algorithm, too.

00:34:03.160 --> 00:34:03.590 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yeah, right?

00:34:03.590 --> 00:34:11.270 Graham Skidmore: And so I had to learn how to get out of the, you know, the man-made algorithms and step into the universe's algorithms, and so a lot of…

00:34:11.550 --> 00:34:25.650 Graham Skidmore: you know, if you think about it astrologically, right? Astrologic, if you look at it, it's, you know, each week, each day has got some type of a learning lesson, something that's continuing to advance you, right? And so, just being able to… and so, you know, so a hard thing for me was being able to be comfortable with

00:34:25.900 --> 00:34:34.999 Graham Skidmore: I don't have all the answers yet. Things will come to me as they need to and when they're supposed to, and when I'm supposed to start talking about stuff, I'll get that nudge, which was, again, very different than that.

00:34:35.409 --> 00:34:46.330 Graham Skidmore: corporate, type A, jam a square peg through a round hole, I can make it happen, force things to occur mentality, right? So that's kind of… I really had to learn how to lean a lot into the feminine energy.

00:34:46.610 --> 00:34:47.060 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: just enjoy.

00:34:47.060 --> 00:34:54.610 Graham Skidmore: the journey, and focus on the journey, and let… kind of let go. And that's… and that's still someone, probably one of the few… one of the things that's my… that I… that…

00:34:54.750 --> 00:35:02.020 Graham Skidmore: is a challenge for me, is letting… is just putting one foot in front of the other and letting go of what the outcome might look like.

00:35:02.470 --> 00:35:03.300 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm…

00:35:03.640 --> 00:35:04.390 Graham Skidmore: Yeah.

00:35:04.390 --> 00:35:05.230 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yeah. So, yeah.

00:35:05.230 --> 00:35:15.520 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, and so that's kind of how I… how I let it roll, and when the universe lets me know, hey, it's time to switch up your messaging, so I'm probably on my third or fourth message now in the last eight months of kind of putting my toe in the water.

00:35:15.660 --> 00:35:21.920 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Oh, okay. So, but what would you say is the essence of your message for people?

00:35:22.170 --> 00:35:32.160 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, you know, and right now I'm going through that… one of those changes, so hopefully I'm gonna… so I'm gonna throw it out here right now, and let's see how it goes. Hopefully I don't crash and burn on your show. So…

00:35:32.160 --> 00:35:34.029 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Don't worry, I got a fire hose, I'll…

00:35:34.030 --> 00:35:35.040 Graham Skidmore: Good deal, yeah, right?

00:35:35.040 --> 00:35:35.550 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: burn.

00:35:35.550 --> 00:35:42.209 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, we gotta show people, right? We gotta, you know, you gotta have the courage to put yourself out there and figure out what works and what lands and what doesn't.

00:35:42.210 --> 00:35:57.260 Graham Skidmore: So one of the things that I definitely recognize is that one of my roles and responsibilities is making space for the new to emerge as Earth is going through its change and into its next chapter. And my focus in that is focused on education, tools, and systems.

00:35:57.320 --> 00:36:04.320 Graham Skidmore: that, are based on… Aligning living with consciousness.

00:36:04.670 --> 00:36:07.289 Graham Skidmore: And the original Divine Intelligent design.

00:36:08.400 --> 00:36:22.919 Graham Skidmore: So there's a lot that falls underneath that umbrella, but that's kind of like the… but that's the overarching umbrella. So up to this point in time, I've really mainly been focused on providing education through the podcast, the video series, articles that I've written.

00:36:23.450 --> 00:36:26.340 Graham Skidmore: And now we're starting then in,

00:36:26.750 --> 00:36:43.769 Graham Skidmore: with the Harmony Health Institute, providing individualized care in the health and wellness space, helping people to understand their having as an individualized physiology, and being able to then, you know, support them as individuals, you know, with their own physiology and their own life goals and journey.

00:36:43.880 --> 00:36:45.840 Graham Skidmore: so, yeah.

00:36:46.370 --> 00:36:57.519 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I'm curious, do you have any kind of a daily practice that helps you to kind of let go and allow life to teach you?

00:36:57.970 --> 00:37:05.979 Graham Skidmore: Oh, for sure. I mean, you know, again, this kind of is… I've been fortunate that, you know, I was able to spend some time on myself, as opposed to having to do a 9-to-5.

00:37:06.470 --> 00:37:16.989 Graham Skidmore: And I only say that because I recognize what I say may not be realistic for everybody, and it may change for me as I step out of things, but, you know, I take care of me, and then after I get done taking care of me, I do the work.

00:37:17.500 --> 00:37:18.260 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm.

00:37:18.260 --> 00:37:23.489 Graham Skidmore: Which is a little different. So, you know, before I… so there's a couple things that I do before I get out of bed,

00:37:23.680 --> 00:37:38.559 Graham Skidmore: I spend time in gratitude, and I think of, you know, 5 to 10 things from the day before that I'm grateful for, and then I try to at least feel one of them, alright? Just try to remember what it really felt to be grateful before my feet hit the floor.

00:37:38.670 --> 00:37:49.490 Graham Skidmore: Then I, over my… then I have my coffee, and I go through my I AMS, alright? I am love, I am courage, I am wisdom, you know, et cetera, et cetera, to kind of, you know, set the tone for the day.

00:37:50.330 --> 00:38:04.519 Graham Skidmore: And then I spend, and then I definitely make sure to spend time with, my squirrel and sparrow friends here in some parks around me, hanging out with them, and kind of… I'm in downtown Chicago, so it's not like I'm surrounded by nature, so I find my little pockets,

00:38:05.050 --> 00:38:07.039 Graham Skidmore: You know, to have that.

00:38:08.190 --> 00:38:11.050 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Cool, cool. So, self-care first.

00:38:11.310 --> 00:38:12.779 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Then we do the work.

00:38:12.780 --> 00:38:30.879 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, because the better… the better… and, you know, one of the things I realized about myself, and even in, like, my… even in my, like, my golf game, right, was that the… the… when… when I'm comfortable in my own skin, when my nervous system is, I don't know, or I'm in the parasympathetic state, I think is how they refer it, right? Like, everything else just then becomes easier.

00:38:31.410 --> 00:38:43.970 Graham Skidmore: And so I… and so I learned, hey, you know, what might even take… if I want to be the most effective and efficient at work, I need to be in the right head and heart space. If I want to be on the best, you know, perform the best on the golf course, I need to be in the right head and heart space.

00:38:44.220 --> 00:38:44.540 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That's.

00:38:44.540 --> 00:38:57.560 Graham Skidmore: For me, that's… that's how I've realized I can do work so much faster when I'm in that right space, because I can just kind of, you know, then I just kind of have a direct download with my consciousness, for lack of a better description, which just makes it easier to access information, get answers.

00:38:57.990 --> 00:38:58.660 Graham Skidmore: And do the work.

00:38:59.320 --> 00:39:01.510 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Nice, nice, nice.

00:39:01.810 --> 00:39:06.539 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: And so… With the different,

00:39:07.080 --> 00:39:20.020 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: projects, I guess I'll say, you're working on. What is the message you're really trying to get out to people? Like, what do you want people to know that you feel is not getting out there enough?

00:39:21.810 --> 00:39:27.279 Graham Skidmore: Oh, boy. Well, first… well, so…

00:39:28.010 --> 00:39:33.480 Graham Skidmore: It's a great question. I'm trying to think… there's so many answers to that. One of them is these one-size-fits-all systems are killing us.

00:39:33.480 --> 00:39:34.120 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yeah.

00:39:34.120 --> 00:39:43.999 Graham Skidmore: Right? I mean, they're just destroying us. The focus and how hard everything in society is built around the masculine energy and ignoring the feminine is killing us.

00:39:44.570 --> 00:39:51.530 Graham Skidmore: This belief that, you know, neurodivergency is on the rise, and all, you know, because there's a problem.

00:39:52.280 --> 00:39:56.790 Graham Skidmore: As opposed to… as opposed to understanding

00:39:57.440 --> 00:40:05.819 Graham Skidmore: What the… and accepting the full spectrum of what it means to be human, and what the human experience is, holds us back

00:40:06.020 --> 00:40:21.809 Graham Skidmore: tremendously, right? And so, one of the things that I talk about is the increase in what is identified as neurodiversity, or labeled neurodiversity, is just a… is just a crop of new people popping in to help guide us through

00:40:22.110 --> 00:40:38.969 Graham Skidmore: Earth and its challenge. Now, some of us have figured out how to become grounded and comfortable in our own skin, and don't necessarily… would never think of ourselves as quote-unquote neurodivergent. Like, I never did, right? But when you don't understand yourself that way, you just know that you're wired differently, and no one's really taught you how to understand yourself, your physiology, and

00:40:39.000 --> 00:40:49.169 Graham Skidmore: you know, why you're not understanding things differently, then now you have to understand yourself through a symptomatic lens versus a gifted lens, right? And so I think… so that's an… and so that's an… that's another one.

00:40:51.110 --> 00:41:03.130 Graham Skidmore: And then the other one is that we've just totally… and then the… and so many of our problems arise as individuals and societies because of the conflicts between the man-made intelligent design.

00:41:03.360 --> 00:41:14.880 Graham Skidmore: And the divine intelligent design. And so… and so a lot of the… when I talk about education and tools and systems, it's all… it's about reintroducing that information.

00:41:15.080 --> 00:41:21.570 Graham Skidmore: And then it's about providing the tools and systems that support living that way, and getting to understand you and know yourself that way.

00:41:21.740 --> 00:41:23.290 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm. Hmm.

00:41:23.550 --> 00:41:41.479 Graham Skidmore: Because that's really where, to me, that's my belief that's, you know, that's where the empowerment comes from. Empowerment doesn't necessarily mean, I've got a bigger gun than you, right? To me, empowerment is that, hey, I'm confident in myself and my ability to handle unknown situations and unknown circumstances, and come out better on the other side.

00:41:41.570 --> 00:42:01.059 Graham Skidmore: Right? To me, like, that's what's feeling confident and empowered, and so the best way to do that is to help walk people through becoming confident in their decision-making, confident in their reading the room, right? And this is especially more, you know, more important for those of us that would identify as, you know, we don't read the room the same as everybody else. We're wired differently. Things are there, right?

00:42:01.150 --> 00:42:03.270 Graham Skidmore: We moved in, so, yeah.

00:42:03.270 --> 00:42:12.159 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Right. I'm curious, as you… Walked away from your corporate career and started to embrace this path.

00:42:12.860 --> 00:42:17.809 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Did you have a lot of challenges with people who knew you, friends, family?

00:42:17.920 --> 00:42:20.020 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: You know, people around you.

00:42:21.980 --> 00:42:26.910 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, you know, it's a… that was the… that was interesting. So…

00:42:27.020 --> 00:42:30.800 Graham Skidmore: I haven't quote-unquote, come out to my family yet.

00:42:30.800 --> 00:42:32.439 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Okay.

00:42:32.440 --> 00:42:32.960 Graham Skidmore: admittedly.

00:42:32.960 --> 00:42:34.990 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hopefully they're not listening to this show.

00:42:34.990 --> 00:42:35.620 Graham Skidmore: Yeah.

00:42:36.180 --> 00:42:42.130 Graham Skidmore: Well, actually, I hope they are. I hope they are listening, right? I'd love to contribute to your user base. You're doing great work.

00:42:42.130 --> 00:42:42.920 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Thank you.

00:42:42.920 --> 00:42:59.480 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, you know, just because, well, for… I just… for me, frankly, just… it wasn't worth the upside, right? Like, I'm not… I'm not focused on converting people, I'm focused on helping those that reach… that push their hand out, right? So, friends and family… so it was interesting, I did, you know.

00:43:00.050 --> 00:43:14.890 Graham Skidmore: I was very pleasantly surprised, actually, we'll just talk about with the friends, because they were… they were very supportive. They may be like, hey, that's not my jam, they may not necessarily be my belief system, but you're my friend. I care about you. I know what you were like before.

00:43:15.020 --> 00:43:25.690 Graham Skidmore: And it wasn't cool to… fun to see you that way. It wasn't always fun to be around you, right? So it's much better to see you the way that you are today, and it's much more enjoyable to be able to be around you, and that's good enough for me.

00:43:25.850 --> 00:43:37.290 Graham Skidmore: Right? And so it's like, hey, as long, you know, you don't push your stuff on me, I don't push my stuff on you, and all is good. And so that was really… and that was awesome, and interesting. And so what I've done is I've also used my friends as my,

00:43:37.320 --> 00:43:55.470 Graham Skidmore: springboards for growth, right? Because, you know, I don't know, for me, anyway, whenever I've had to kind of step out into a new identity with something, you know, the concern is, how are people going to treat me? How's gonna… how are people going to react? Now, I'm not so worried about some stranger, I don't know, you didn't do anything to me for my life. I'm not so worried about you critiquing me.

00:43:55.470 --> 00:43:57.840 Graham Skidmore: Look, man, but somebody I've been with for 20 years.

00:43:58.360 --> 00:44:11.220 Graham Skidmore: That, you know, if all of a sudden they're just like, you're crazy, and they turn their back on me, yeah, man, that's gonna hurt, right? And so, what I've done is, anytime that I've had to come out into this, into a new chapter of myself, I've always gone out to my old friends first, and introduced it there.

00:44:11.220 --> 00:44:18.990 Graham Skidmore: Because that was the most difficult, the most challenging, where I had the most fear and anxiety around it. And then once I got past that, hey man, everything else was smooth sailing.

00:44:19.840 --> 00:44:21.620 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Mmm, mmm.

00:44:22.650 --> 00:44:25.530 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Did any of your old friends…

00:44:26.480 --> 00:44:41.160 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: get curious about what you were doing when they saw the change in you? Like, did them just seeing you shift and change and be happier and better, did that get them curious enough to say, hey, what are you doing? I want to learn about this.

00:44:41.820 --> 00:44:42.639 Graham Skidmore: They all have.

00:44:44.570 --> 00:44:47.200 Graham Skidmore: They all asked, And then, you know.

00:44:47.850 --> 00:45:03.829 Graham Skidmore: once I, you know… but again, like I said, I don't push it. I kind of share what my journey was like, why I, you know, do what I do, what resonates with me, and how I got to that place. But yeah, I haven't necessarily had them pursue me, you know, about wanting to know more. Instead, it's more of a, hey, this is interesting. Keep…

00:45:03.840 --> 00:45:17.260 Graham Skidmore: keep me up to date with what you're doing. That's kind of… that's the… I'd like to stay in the loop, right? Which isn't… which is, you know, so essentially, what I've figured out from a lot of people is that they're like, hey, I want to know what's going on with you, but I'm not… I haven't seen enough

00:45:17.360 --> 00:45:21.720 Graham Skidmore: evidence yet, where I'm ready to kind of put my toe in the water.

00:45:21.850 --> 00:45:26.360 Graham Skidmore: But there's enough going on that I'm intrigued, I can't ignore it, so I'm staying on the sidelines and watching.

00:45:26.390 --> 00:45:27.030 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Mmm.

00:45:27.030 --> 00:45:39.020 Graham Skidmore: which is like, hey, man, that's cool too, right? I mean, you know, that's, you know, neutrality is positivity for me. Just don't try to poo-poo on me, right? That was kind of all I ever ask.

00:45:39.150 --> 00:45:55.860 Graham Skidmore: But yeah, now I'm at… but now that I'm at that spot where I'm starting to, you know, get back out there more, and starting to, you know, start the business up in support of this work, and kind of reaching out to some of these people, you know, yeah, it's… and definitely I'm not receiving some of the support that I would like, admittedly, right? They're kind of like, all right.

00:45:55.910 --> 00:46:03.709 Graham Skidmore: you know, some of this is a… it might be a little out there for me, Graham. You know, and I say that, you know, my circle was literally…

00:46:05.740 --> 00:46:10.639 Graham Skidmore: Type A, or at least confident, straight, white male executive.

00:46:11.960 --> 00:46:18.410 Graham Skidmore: So, you trying to talk about anything beyond the five senses, anything beyond, you know, trust in your gut.

00:46:18.570 --> 00:46:28.640 Graham Skidmore: And it's… and it just be… and, you know, this is also a very, you know, a group that are people that don't understand what it means to be underserved or marginalized, right? Right, the status quo.

00:46:28.640 --> 00:46:29.310 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Without privilege.

00:46:29.310 --> 00:46:38.130 Graham Skidmore: It's built around the… yeah, it's built around the privilege, right? And so they're kind of like, I don't understand this need that you're trying to fill, because it's not something I've experienced.

00:46:38.190 --> 00:46:39.340 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Right. Right.

00:46:39.510 --> 00:46:52.900 Graham Skidmore: And yeah, right? And so, yeah, so that's… that's been an interesting journey. Now, I'm, you know, slowly trying to, bring some of them over, because A, I'm now getting nudged of, like, hey, you know.

00:46:53.020 --> 00:46:55.420 Graham Skidmore: do some, like, gramm, and also…

00:46:57.170 --> 00:47:01.710 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, as part of my journey, right, I'm starting to become a bit more bold in letting some of them know

00:47:01.860 --> 00:47:13.409 Graham Skidmore: Hey, you know that… I know I sent you an article, you probably didn't get a chance to check it out, but it was really about my story and why we need to be choosing consciousness, and it's very vulnerable, and so I share with them.

00:47:13.410 --> 00:47:27.109 Graham Skidmore: Hey guys, that's not just me that didn't understand their wiring. That second, section of the, of the article that I wrote, that applies just as much to you. And so that's kind of the, that's kind of the face, and now I'm starting to, you know.

00:47:27.550 --> 00:47:29.709 Graham Skidmore: Poke the bear just a little bit, you know.

00:47:30.070 --> 00:47:38.979 Graham Skidmore: not, you know, and I'm starting to see how those results come back. So far, I haven't gotten any takers yet, I'll, you know, acknowledge that.

00:47:39.500 --> 00:47:51.250 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: That's among, like, your friends and people who know you. Have any other people come to you? Is there anybody who, I don't know, heard you talk about this stuff that said, oh, I want to know more, Graham?

00:47:51.820 --> 00:48:01.369 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, I, you know, I haven't made myself really available as a practitioner, nor did I position myself as a practitioner, or sharing those things, you know, throughout my journey.

00:48:01.460 --> 00:48:12.669 Graham Skidmore: you know, in the last handful of months, I've kind of talked about it a little bit, but it's been more nonchalant. So I've had a few people who's, where I've been a guest on the podcast that have then asked for a session, and, and some, and a couple of,

00:48:12.790 --> 00:48:15.359 Graham Skidmore: Friends, you know, as well,

00:48:15.610 --> 00:48:19.640 Graham Skidmore: Maybe not, actually, I'm not friends, friends in the spiritual community.

00:48:19.940 --> 00:48:20.330 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: initially.

00:48:20.330 --> 00:48:27.380 Graham Skidmore: the old friends, spiritual community friends, that, you know, that we've done some of that stuff through. So, yeah, it's been mainly through the,

00:48:27.690 --> 00:48:31.440 Graham Skidmore: podcast circuit that I've… Great to introduce that.

00:48:32.770 --> 00:48:36.419 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So what's your vision for Graham for the future? Like, what…

00:48:37.080 --> 00:48:45.909 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: not saying you have expectations, but… but do you have some kind of sense of, like, your path forward? Like, where are you going?

00:48:46.760 --> 00:48:47.940 Graham Skidmore: Oh, absolutely.

00:48:48.150 --> 00:48:53.419 Graham Skidmore: while I absolutely have an idea on the path, you know, there are some things, like.

00:48:53.790 --> 00:49:08.539 Graham Skidmore: I think, you know, as you know, there are, you know, with Earth being a living and learning environment, there are some things that are etched in, like, certain destinations that are etched in stone, but the journeys are not, right? So, in that respect, yeah, I'm very confident in, you know.

00:49:08.640 --> 00:49:15.600 Graham Skidmore: some of the end games, but I'm, you know, maintaining my reactivity as the journeys unfold and things like that. So…

00:49:16.010 --> 00:49:22.420 Graham Skidmore: You know, so for me, some of the first ones that I'm just focused on is helping everybody to get

00:49:23.540 --> 00:49:30.999 Graham Skidmore: access to quality healthcare through demonstrating that we're all actually part of the normal human spectrum. Even everyone that…

00:49:31.040 --> 00:49:50.829 Graham Skidmore: Everybody, no matter what you are, you know what… how society might label you, whatever else, is all part of the normal human spectrum, and we all designed ourselves, designed our human suits, designed our journeys based on what we were here to learn, not based on our ability to provide, you know, tax dollars into a capitalist economic system.

00:49:51.110 --> 00:49:51.540 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Jesus.

00:49:51.540 --> 00:50:10.649 Graham Skidmore: and how things are doing there. And so, that's the first part of it. The other part of it, then, is continuing to evolve myself and then helping others to demonstrate the conflicts and how they're causing such problems between the man-made intelligent design and the divine intelligent design, one being essentially based on

00:50:10.670 --> 00:50:15.570 Graham Skidmore: Materialism, one being based on… on consciousness as the reality.

00:50:15.740 --> 00:50:18.630 Graham Skidmore: As the basis or the foundation of reality.

00:50:19.500 --> 00:50:28.330 Graham Skidmore: you know, there's going to be, you know, I also, you know, am anticipating and putting the pieces on the table for, there to be a very significant

00:50:28.900 --> 00:50:31.600 Graham Skidmore: Split in society between

00:50:31.830 --> 00:50:39.690 Graham Skidmore: those that believe that the path forward for humanity to realize its potential is through AI,

00:50:39.830 --> 00:50:44.400 Graham Skidmore: and giving up our agency to AI, and it's, you know… And…

00:50:44.610 --> 00:50:47.000 Graham Skidmore: The other path being, consciousness.

00:50:47.400 --> 00:50:48.160 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm.

00:50:48.570 --> 00:50:56.059 Graham Skidmore: And so, obviously, a lot of my work, all of my, you know, my work and everything else is focused on supporting people through that consciousness path and that journey.

00:50:57.360 --> 00:50:59.790 Graham Skidmore: And…

00:50:59.790 --> 00:51:03.660 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: But you say that, but you're not necessarily against AI, are you?

00:51:04.660 --> 00:51:07.790 Graham Skidmore: I mean, look, so the horse is out of the barn with AI?

00:51:08.460 --> 00:51:10.139 Graham Skidmore: Alright, it's not going back in.

00:51:10.140 --> 00:51:10.830 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yep.

00:51:11.130 --> 00:51:16.280 Graham Skidmore: So, I don't really spend a lot of time talking about that, but I mean, from a human evolutionary standpoint.

00:51:16.400 --> 00:51:22.710 Graham Skidmore: No, I don't believe AI is the quote-unquote godsend that it claims to be, right?

00:51:22.910 --> 00:51:24.760 Graham Skidmore: It doesn't… it's…

00:51:25.970 --> 00:51:32.380 Graham Skidmore: for a few different reasons. Number one is that it's not… while it can provide empowerment, it also creates dependency. We're conscious.

00:51:32.380 --> 00:51:32.790 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: business to.

00:51:32.790 --> 00:51:33.620 Graham Skidmore: does not.

00:51:34.410 --> 00:51:35.070 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm.

00:51:35.410 --> 00:51:39.430 Graham Skidmore: Right? The Creator, the universe of everyone calling.

00:51:40.270 --> 00:51:51.880 Graham Skidmore: doesn't need… didn't fall short and mess up and make mistakes that humanity now needs to clean up by using AI to figure out how to conform everybody into a one-size-fits-all system.

00:51:51.880 --> 00:51:53.320 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yeah, yeah.

00:51:53.320 --> 00:51:59.410 Graham Skidmore: Right? So, no, I'm not necessarily… so, look, and so, no, what I… at this point, because the horse at the bottom, it is what it is.

00:52:00.300 --> 00:52:06.230 Graham Skidmore: the… and actually, frankly, I think that it holds… and while some people will talk about how AI can be used to

00:52:06.350 --> 00:52:10.740 Graham Skidmore: help spiritual improvement and spiritual evolution? Sure, it can.

00:52:10.850 --> 00:52:13.410 Graham Skidmore: It's certainly not necessary, though, let's be honest.

00:52:13.410 --> 00:52:13.989 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Let's be clear.

00:52:13.990 --> 00:52:16.310 Graham Skidmore: on that. The universe does not require.

00:52:17.050 --> 00:52:21.519 Graham Skidmore: man to step in and say, I got you, because you couldn't figure it out on your own, right?

00:52:23.010 --> 00:52:35.210 Graham Skidmore: Right? So, yeah, it can do that, and I have… look, and I'm using it that way because it's out there, it's talked about, but yeah, I think that the best of both worlds, and the way to get the most out of everything and to secure

00:52:35.210 --> 00:52:49.450 Graham Skidmore: our agency and our sovereignty as a species as we move forward is understanding how to tap into our, I'll call it our localized consciousness, which is our body. Then we've got our expanded consciousness, right, which is our higher self, our total self, the accumulation of all of our stuff.

00:52:49.480 --> 00:53:02.280 Graham Skidmore: And then, you know, and then you've got all of the collective consciousnesses that we all belong to, which is, you know, kind of like tapping into the cloud, you know, the information all around us. And by being able to tap into that

00:53:03.470 --> 00:53:06.789 Graham Skidmore: Moral and character compass and guidance system.

00:53:07.730 --> 00:53:10.750 Graham Skidmore: Is the, you know, and for wisdom.

00:53:11.450 --> 00:53:14.549 Graham Skidmore: Using that to then figure out, okay.

00:53:14.820 --> 00:53:17.630 Graham Skidmore: how do I best use AI as a tool?

00:53:17.900 --> 00:53:20.070 Graham Skidmore: To help all of Earth's inhabitants.

00:53:20.980 --> 00:53:21.380 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Right.

00:53:21.380 --> 00:53:34.079 Graham Skidmore: Right? You know, and how do I use this to… as a… for stewardship? How do I use empathy to create things to help others? You know, I mean, in my opinion, that's the, you know, that's the best path forward, in… in…

00:53:34.340 --> 00:53:35.770 Graham Skidmore: You know, based on what's on the table.

00:53:36.090 --> 00:53:36.840 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm.

00:53:37.300 --> 00:53:43.019 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Are you… More hopeful about the future, or are you worried about the future?

00:53:45.320 --> 00:53:48.249 Graham Skidmore: Well, how do you determine hopeful or worried? Let me ask you that.

00:53:48.250 --> 00:53:55.530 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: It's your feeling. Do you feel like the future's gonna be… get better for people, or do you feel like it's gonna get more challenging?

00:53:56.290 --> 00:54:11.249 Graham Skidmore: So I think it's going to… so it's both, right? So I think that, like, in order for change to occur, in order for real, meaningful change to occur, there has to be enough catalysts to create and initiate that change. And we… which means we're going to have to get a lot more uncomfortable

00:54:11.420 --> 00:54:29.690 Graham Skidmore: Before that change and that positivity ushers in, right? We've got to… you know, and so there's… and so in that respect, yeah, it's going to get a lot more uncomfortable before it starts to feel better. But that's all part of the plan, that's all part of the process, and so where people see a world on fire, I see people finally starting to have enough.

00:54:29.690 --> 00:54:33.899 Graham Skidmore: I see where people, you know, people see, you know, everything burning to the ground.

00:54:33.930 --> 00:54:36.040 Graham Skidmore: you know, I see the phoenix rising up.

00:54:36.290 --> 00:54:40.760 Graham Skidmore: And so, in that respect, I feel absolutely very positive about the direction that we're going.

00:54:40.820 --> 00:54:50.910 Graham Skidmore: And the other part is, humanity, it's in our… it's in our control, right? I mean, we can have a hard landing or a soft landing. There is, you know, that is… that is up to us, and so…

00:54:50.910 --> 00:55:07.580 Graham Skidmore: Do I see us having a soft landing? No, there's way too many people in power that want power, that want to oppress others, and that believe that everything here on Earth is for theirs to own, as opposed to renting, and we're pretty… you know, and we've done not such a great job as a collective, right?

00:55:07.940 --> 00:55:10.230 Graham Skidmore: Of taking care of the place, and so…

00:55:10.590 --> 00:55:21.200 Graham Skidmore: You know, we're gonna have to go through some tough learning pains, but there's gonna definitely be a golden age ahead of us, whether it's 5 years, 50 years, or 200 years, and that's up to us.

00:55:21.390 --> 00:55:22.100 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Yeah.

00:55:24.310 --> 00:55:33.100 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: So, if somebody out there is struggling, maybe that they're like you were, you know, a few years ago.

00:55:33.680 --> 00:55:41.760 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: you know, they… maybe they're successful, maybe they're not successful. Either way, they're not feeling good, they're not…

00:55:42.390 --> 00:55:51.159 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Feeling empowered, they're not feeling okay with themselves. What advice would you give them today?

00:55:52.650 --> 00:55:53.490 Graham Skidmore: So…

00:55:54.200 --> 00:55:59.560 Graham Skidmore: The advice that I would give is to start understanding and trying to understand your life and see it through the lens of catalysts.

00:56:00.160 --> 00:56:00.940 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Hmm.

00:56:01.210 --> 00:56:17.660 Graham Skidmore: Right? So, as opposed to, this bad thing happened, I made a mistake, I did something wrong, I need to do a retrospective to see how I can be better, instead saying, okay, I'm here for personal growth. So, if all of this, if I'm here for personal growth, and that means these things are happening for me, not to me.

00:56:17.680 --> 00:56:25.469 Graham Skidmore: So, as a catalyst for my personal growth, please, you know, ask for… ask for help, ask for guidance, ask for it to be… for you to understand.

00:56:25.780 --> 00:56:41.010 Graham Skidmore: what is it that I'm supposed to be learning from this? What is it that I'm supposed to be taking from this? And then, raise your self-awareness. It may come to you in multiple stages, that random thought when you're brushing your teeth, that thing that kind of hits you, that sentence that hits you a little differently when you're reading an article.

00:56:41.220 --> 00:56:41.619 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Like the cow.

00:56:41.620 --> 00:56:57.470 Graham Skidmore: conversation that somebody has, and whatever they say, for some reason, just resonates with you. Now, one of those things on their own most likely isn't going to give you the answer, but when you start to piece together 3, 4, 5 of these things, now all of a sudden, you start to say, okay, now I understand what's being talked, you know, how, you know, how I'm being talked to, and I can…

00:56:57.470 --> 00:57:05.159 Graham Skidmore: realize why I'm going through this, why I put myself through this learning lesson. And typically, the learning lessons are all about love.

00:57:05.500 --> 00:57:07.970 Graham Skidmore: Right? Love… love for self.

00:57:08.080 --> 00:57:22.230 Graham Skidmore: love for others, giving love, receiving love, accepting love, viewing others' actions through the lens of love. So, I would probably say to kind of start unpacking it that way, and saying, how am I learning about love?

00:57:22.510 --> 00:57:35.290 Graham Skidmore: And how is this, things happening for me? And, you know, and then, you know, asking for your surroundings to talk to you and give you that answer. And it's pretty freaking cool, I can't lie, as you know, once you start… once your surroundings start giving you those answers, you're like.

00:57:35.400 --> 00:57:38.510 Graham Skidmore: This is awesome! This is way better than Google!

00:57:38.510 --> 00:57:51.289 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Exactly, exactly. Well, Graham, it's been a pleasure having you on my show. If anyone wants to reach out to you, find your work, where would they find you online? How'd they reach out?

00:57:51.640 --> 00:57:57.259 Graham Skidmore: Yeah, so if someone is interested in, you know, exploring themselves and their physiology.

00:57:57.490 --> 00:58:06.700 Graham Skidmore: Please check us out at the Harmony Health Institute. If you're looking, just want to connect, you know, or check out any articles, say hey, whatever it might be, you know, LinkedIn's probably the easiest.

00:58:07.360 --> 00:58:08.230 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Okay.

00:58:08.640 --> 00:58:27.120 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: All right, wonderful, Graham. Well, thank you so much. I appreciate you taking the time out of your schedule to come on the show, and I appreciate you being on the path, and yeah, let's keep in touch. Let me know how things go, and if you come out with a book or something in the future, you let me know, we'll have you back on.

00:58:27.400 --> 00:58:31.969 Graham Skidmore: Alright, well, that's great, because I'm working on the… how I didn't come with an owner's manual book, so…

00:58:31.970 --> 00:58:32.700 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: Damn.

00:58:32.700 --> 00:58:44.839 Graham Skidmore: yeah, I gotta get that out there, and yeah, thank you so much for, you know, for having me. You've had some really great guests, and so I'm like, alright, I got, you know, I had a little pressure, so I hope that we put together a great show for your listeners.

00:58:44.840 --> 00:58:48.410 Sam Liebowitz | The Conscious Consultant: I think you did just fine, you did just fine.
