Show Notes

Segment 1

In this opening segment of Beneath the Calm, host Jacinta Yang introduces her journey from floral design to holistic healing and how embracing new digital skills became part of her mission to help others find balance. She speaks with her digital mentor, Vanessa Cook, about overcoming fear and self-doubt—reminding listeners that confidence grows through patience and the willingness to keep trying. Their conversation encourages men and anyone struggling with change to see learning as a path toward empowerment and mental calm, no matter their age or comfort zone.

Segment 2

Jacinta reminds us that life keeps throwing new challenges—like scary tech shifts—but a clear purpose and supportive mentors can turn fear into fuel and create a safe space to grow. Vanessa breaks it down: start small (even just email), pick one platform, and use beginner-friendly tools like Canva and ChatGPT—confidence builds step by step. The message to men and anyone feeling overwhelmed: you’re not “bad at this,” stay authentic, lean on community, and let your mission—not pride or fear—guide steady progress toward calm.

Segment 3

Jacinta’s message is simple and strong: you’re never too old to learn, and a clear purpose—like providing for your family or serving your community—turns intimidating tech into a path toward independence and calm. Vanessa adds that even “experts” are learning daily, so start small, use beginner-friendly tools, and let the nerves push you forward rather than shut you down. For men and anyone bottling things up, the playbook is honesty and action—say “I don’t get it,” ask for help, practice one step at a time, and watch confidence (and mental ease) grow.

Segment 4

Jacinta closes by stressing that even after real progress, it’s strong—not weak—to ask for support so you can focus on your purpose and mental calm. Vanessa reinforces that patient, judgment-free mentorship exists—start with one step, be honest when you’re lost, and let someone guide you while you build confidence. The takeaway for men and anyone feeling overwhelmed: you’re never too old to learn, keep an open mind, and use community help to turn intimidating tech into independence and peace.

00:00:57.110 --> 00:01:01.650 Jacinta Yang: And, this is a… this space was created to have…

00:01:58.090 --> 00:02:14.650 Jacinta Yang: Just when I thought I had overcome a lot of obstacles and fear, but when I transitioned into digital world, because as a designer, I'd never had the need for any of the digital or technical skills.

00:02:14.820 --> 00:02:24.650 Jacinta Yang: But transitioning into holistic practice in this technology-driven world, it became necessary for me to adopt this,

00:02:25.250 --> 00:02:26.519 Jacinta Yang: world of…

00:02:26.670 --> 00:02:35.870 Jacinta Yang: technology, and this is where Vanessa comes in. Now, it was very challenging at first, when I didn't need it.

00:02:36.100 --> 00:02:46.150 Jacinta Yang: But my mission and purpose to help people gave me the motivation And, I guess…

00:02:47.210 --> 00:02:55.779 Jacinta Yang: The energy and openness to… learn, and… Overcome this challenge.

00:02:56.090 --> 00:03:01.599 Jacinta Yang: that I was faced with, digital world, technical world.

00:03:01.710 --> 00:03:04.520 Jacinta Yang: And, this is where,

00:03:04.630 --> 00:03:14.480 Jacinta Yang: Vanessa came in, she has mentored me in all of the Aspects of the digital world.

00:03:14.680 --> 00:03:16.979 Jacinta Yang: And it was because of her.

00:03:17.150 --> 00:03:24.729 Jacinta Yang: I have been able to create my YouTube channel, and also Spotify. I'm also a host on

00:03:24.920 --> 00:03:28.520 Jacinta Yang: Spotify channel, Self-Aware Soul.

00:03:28.890 --> 00:03:35.249 Jacinta Yang: So, I'd like to introduce you to Vanessa. Vanessa, thank you so much.

00:03:35.370 --> 00:03:47.360 Jacinta Yang: for joining me here today. I… in my previous episode, Krista was the one who opened the door for me to walk through this door of the…

00:03:48.120 --> 00:03:50.390 Jacinta Yang: technology-driven world.

00:03:50.630 --> 00:03:53.479 Jacinta Yang: But it was you who helped me.

00:03:53.640 --> 00:04:01.980 Jacinta Yang: navigate this world. I'm still navigating, but I think I've gone… came quite far since we met.

00:04:02.180 --> 00:04:09.810 Jacinta Yang: So, Vanessa, please tell us a little bit about yourself, your background, and what,

00:04:10.520 --> 00:04:15.819 Jacinta Yang: Made you to, do this, to mentor people?

00:04:16.110 --> 00:04:19.130 Jacinta Yang: With technical skill or digital skill.

00:04:20.910 --> 00:04:34.019 Vennessa Cook: So, I am a digital media, social media fan, in general. I had started, going to school for digital marketing and communications.

00:04:34.070 --> 00:04:52.060 Vennessa Cook: At UOIT, and absolutely loved everything about looking at social media from a technical and academic standpoint. And basically one of my professors at the time was like, you know, you could just do this as a job. And I was like, awesome, I want to do that.

00:04:52.060 --> 00:04:57.689 Vennessa Cook: So then after school, I kind of just really focused on…

00:04:57.690 --> 00:05:06.789 Vennessa Cook: learning more about digital marketing, learning more about social media from a professional standpoint. Of course, I'd been using it from a personal perspective.

00:05:06.790 --> 00:05:15.820 Vennessa Cook: but had never really taken a look at it from a professional standpoint, and very quickly learned as many things as I possibly could.

00:05:15.820 --> 00:05:33.860 Vennessa Cook: That's when I found out about Digital Main Street at the time, and they were looking for a digital marketing specialist, and to put together a team so that we could help small businesses, learn and grow and adopt more digital marketing skills, also at no cost.

00:05:33.860 --> 00:05:45.299 Vennessa Cook: And I was like, this is the perfect job for me, I love helping people, I love making anything seem less intimidating, and that's how I got started, and that's how I met Jacinta.

00:05:46.150 --> 00:05:52.220 Jacinta Yang: And, so, when we first met, Do you remember?

00:05:52.390 --> 00:05:55.500 Jacinta Yang: how scared I was of this,

00:05:56.180 --> 00:06:05.179 Jacinta Yang: world, and I could barely understand anything, but you know, what really helped me through it is your patience.

00:06:05.650 --> 00:06:15.779 Jacinta Yang: And I… I was quite amazed, because you're so young, we're 20-something, and I said, oh my god, you know, teaching someone, four decades older than yourself.

00:06:16.130 --> 00:06:20.359 Jacinta Yang: And, you were so patient, and…

00:06:21.380 --> 00:06:26.329 Jacinta Yang: And I love the fact that you not only have patience, but you also…

00:06:26.720 --> 00:06:30.729 Jacinta Yang: Showed an easier way how to learn.

00:06:31.340 --> 00:06:39.670 Jacinta Yang: And, do you find… A lot of, young mentees that are starting new in…

00:06:40.050 --> 00:06:43.430 Jacinta Yang: This technical world, or digital world.

00:06:43.550 --> 00:06:46.949 Jacinta Yang: What was a challenge for you, teaching?

00:06:48.150 --> 00:06:54.100 Vennessa Cook: I find that usually the biggest challenge was definitely confidence. I find that a lot of people…

00:06:54.180 --> 00:07:06.170 Vennessa Cook: struggle with their confidence in learning anything technologically, like, in that general field. I find a lot of people are, like, if they don't get it right.

00:07:06.170 --> 00:07:26.060 Vennessa Cook: doing it one way, they kind of throw their hands up, and they're like, I can't do this, I'm bad at computers, I'm bad at tech, I'm bad at online, and just because it's… it can be intimidating, I'm not gonna act like it's not. However, it's very easy to just kind of give up really quickly. So as a result, people would struggle with

00:07:26.060 --> 00:07:44.040 Vennessa Cook: they're finding their confidence in learning, actually, no, I do know what I'm doing when it comes to, like, in email, I do know what I'm doing when it comes to, sending out posts, or writing, or anything that can kind of fall under that sphere. So I think trying to get people to develop their confidence can be a little…

00:07:44.040 --> 00:07:52.270 Vennessa Cook: Difficult, but once it kind of starts, the ball starts rolling, it's much like a snowball and just kind of grows and grows as they learn more, which is always lovely to see.

00:07:53.280 --> 00:08:02.440 Jacinta Yang: So, I would like you to share your experience with me, when you were teaching me, and

00:08:03.660 --> 00:08:08.360 Jacinta Yang: I have to say, you always went above and beyond

00:08:09.260 --> 00:08:15.260 Jacinta Yang: and giving your time to show me. In fact, even when,

00:08:15.560 --> 00:08:22.990 Jacinta Yang: When the program ended, he was so willing to help me after the fact, as a friend.

00:08:23.130 --> 00:08:26.299 Jacinta Yang: And I really appreciate that, and…

00:08:26.550 --> 00:08:30.429 Jacinta Yang: I think I'm very fortunate to have so many people

00:08:30.560 --> 00:08:42.870 Jacinta Yang: in my life that is so supportive in my learning journey. So, could you share what was the difference that you found in how I was learning.

00:08:43.470 --> 00:08:49.569 Jacinta Yang: As to your, you know, as a mentor, what was it that made… Was it difficult?

00:08:49.770 --> 00:09:05.450 Vennessa Cook: No, no, it was super easy. I found it was incredibly easy to work with you, because one, like, quality amongst your many amazing qualities, your one quality that really stood out is your willingness to learn, and you are always so…

00:09:05.510 --> 00:09:29.390 Vennessa Cook: eager to learn something new, and even if you maybe kind of struggled at the start, you still were willing to persevere and be like, okay, I can't seem to figure out this one way that you're doing it, can you show me another way? Because you still wanted that skill, or wanted the knowledge on how to do something, or how to make something online. And so, that definitely set you apart in a great way.

00:09:29.390 --> 00:09:46.870 Vennessa Cook: Because yeah, you were just so willing to learn, and it was really refreshing to see, because some people, when they can't get it right the first time, they kind of give up, and then they get really disheartened, but even if you had your moments of being a little disheartened, you kind of picked yourself back up and were like, that's okay, I'm gonna figure out something else. And I love seeing that.

00:09:46.870 --> 00:09:53.970 Jacinta Yang: Yeah, and I remember, actually, there were times when I was working on something, and I said, okay, don't… don't remind me, just let me try on my own.

00:09:53.970 --> 00:09:54.940 Vennessa Cook: Yes.

00:09:54.940 --> 00:10:00.810 Jacinta Yang: And then there were times that you were able to see things so quickly, and I was like.

00:10:01.350 --> 00:10:13.660 Jacinta Yang: You know, I can barely make sense of looking at something in one area, but your eyes was on all the things that I was doing, and I… how did you see that? How did you eyeball it? Right?

00:10:14.530 --> 00:10:17.800 Vennessa Cook: My eyes are just floating over the screen always.

00:10:17.800 --> 00:10:24.450 Jacinta Yang: And I love the fact that you, the way you do things…

00:10:24.620 --> 00:10:30.430 Jacinta Yang: In a very efficient way, and I noticed that about you, and because

00:10:30.740 --> 00:10:34.550 Jacinta Yang: Personally, I like to be efficient in everything, what I do.

00:10:34.750 --> 00:10:37.149 Jacinta Yang: And, I said, oh my god, I need…

00:10:37.310 --> 00:10:48.929 Jacinta Yang: I need to learn how you do that in… in, in this digital world. Anyways, you know, I have to say that,

00:10:49.700 --> 00:10:54.239 Jacinta Yang: I recall my very first video I created on YouTube.

00:10:54.700 --> 00:10:59.470 Jacinta Yang: It took us… it took me 3 weeks to create one video.

00:10:59.990 --> 00:11:04.149 Jacinta Yang: And because of the way you were teaching me, and…

00:11:04.570 --> 00:11:11.199 Jacinta Yang: how you… I was actually observant of your observation of what I was doing.

00:11:11.540 --> 00:11:19.559 Jacinta Yang: And I knew that there was a way that you do that is a lot faster than the way I was doing it.

00:11:20.040 --> 00:11:27.139 Jacinta Yang: So, even though our session, ended, I remember.

00:11:27.510 --> 00:11:34.379 Jacinta Yang: how you were working with things, and I tried to remember that and adopt that.

00:11:34.460 --> 00:11:39.839 Vennessa Cook: And now I'm happy to say I can create a video in a day. Absolutely.

00:11:40.040 --> 00:11:44.489 Jacinta Yang: So, would you say that,

00:11:45.350 --> 00:11:50.060 Jacinta Yang: I, at least I think it doesn't matter what age you are.

00:11:50.360 --> 00:11:55.440 Jacinta Yang: We can still all learn, as long as we are willing to learn.

00:11:55.710 --> 00:11:59.869 Jacinta Yang: So, tell me, what was the most, difficult

00:12:00.980 --> 00:12:04.299 Jacinta Yang: Part of your job mentoring people.

00:12:05.960 --> 00:12:21.230 Vennessa Cook: I don't… I… I never really found it difficult. I don't know. I'm always happy and eager to work with anybody and everybody. Everybody brings something new and something different to the table, so I didn't…

00:12:21.230 --> 00:12:38.610 Vennessa Cook: personally struggled to find anything that was hard to work with somebody, or anything, as long as, again, as long as they were, like, willing to learn and willing to try new things, that made it a lot easier, that's certainly sure, but there are people who might be a little set in their ways, but they still…

00:12:38.660 --> 00:12:45.479 Vennessa Cook: have that desire to learn within them, and that's all that mattered to me, and I was happy to work with them still.

00:12:46.180 --> 00:12:51.900 Jacinta Yang: Thank you, Vanessa. We're going to go into a break shortly, and then we'll come back and continue.

00:14:38.290 --> 00:14:50.879 Jacinta Yang: Welcome back to Beneath the Calm. Thank you for joining us today. Sitting with us today is, Vanessa Cook, my digital skills mentor, and

00:14:51.340 --> 00:15:00.420 Jacinta Yang: I think the purpose of today's talk is basically I want to share that life is always…

00:15:00.580 --> 00:15:05.860 Jacinta Yang: We always face challenges in life. It doesn't matter what age we are in.

00:15:05.970 --> 00:15:11.910 Jacinta Yang: And even when we think that, we've learned it all, but yet

00:15:12.080 --> 00:15:23.430 Jacinta Yang: We still encountered, things that we never imagined, just as I mentioned earlier. I never had a need for technical skills, so I never really…

00:15:23.890 --> 00:15:28.760 Jacinta Yang: Felt very motivated, but then now, in this,

00:15:29.370 --> 00:15:39.689 Jacinta Yang: Modern age, everything is online, and in order to reach many people We have to get online.

00:15:40.410 --> 00:15:43.660 Jacinta Yang: And be able to reach, audience.

00:15:44.820 --> 00:15:50.980 Jacinta Yang: Now… The technology has been very,

00:15:51.460 --> 00:15:54.960 Jacinta Yang: scary for me. I can barely…

00:15:55.090 --> 00:15:58.570 Jacinta Yang: I guess go past the,

00:15:59.360 --> 00:16:03.780 Jacinta Yang: email, but anyhow, I had so many supporters.

00:16:03.930 --> 00:16:07.200 Jacinta Yang: That wanted me to share my,

00:16:07.700 --> 00:16:12.310 Jacinta Yang: Skills and gifts of healing to a broader audience.

00:16:12.690 --> 00:16:17.700 Jacinta Yang: As I mentioned earlier, Krista was the one who pushed me into this world.

00:16:17.880 --> 00:16:25.439 Jacinta Yang: And, vanessa is the one who really got me in there.

00:16:25.700 --> 00:16:30.770 Jacinta Yang: So what I want to share today is that When we have a purpose.

00:16:31.900 --> 00:16:35.640 Jacinta Yang: Then, nothing can stop us from learning.

00:16:35.910 --> 00:16:40.600 Jacinta Yang: What we need to learn to move forward in life.

00:16:41.000 --> 00:16:48.239 Jacinta Yang: This space is all about how we can overcome challenges, what are the tools

00:16:48.580 --> 00:16:52.750 Jacinta Yang: And insights that we have, that we need.

00:16:52.960 --> 00:16:54.380 Jacinta Yang: to grow.

00:16:54.480 --> 00:17:05.630 Jacinta Yang: And, I just felt that there are many of us out there that has struggles with technology, and I am sharing the story to say that

00:17:06.119 --> 00:17:12.340 Jacinta Yang: As scary as it may be, to those of you who's just starting.

00:17:12.500 --> 00:17:18.319 Jacinta Yang: It is scary, but once you know your purpose, know your mission.

00:17:18.599 --> 00:17:30.359 Jacinta Yang: It will give you the motivation and the drive to really learn, and that's what I have learned. Now, Vanessa, thank you again for coming today.

00:17:30.520 --> 00:17:35.370 Jacinta Yang: In your, mentor… mentoring session.

00:17:35.500 --> 00:17:46.010 Jacinta Yang: What was the most, intimidating things that people felt with, technology.

00:17:46.770 --> 00:17:58.200 Vennessa Cook: I think social media, in general, tends to be the most intimidating, because it's ever-changing, there are so many new apps every day, and there's…

00:17:58.200 --> 00:18:09.739 Vennessa Cook: It's constantly changing, like, one trend is in, and then 5 minutes later it's out, or one trend lasts 6 months, or again, one trend lasts, like, a year, or one is done in the span of a week.

00:18:09.740 --> 00:18:26.540 Vennessa Cook: So it can be very intimidating, to try and get yourself on social media, but it can be really rewarding, and I personally find that it can be really fun to be on social media. So I found a lot of people would struggle with that, but we're still interested in it at the same time.

00:18:27.750 --> 00:18:37.049 Jacinta Yang: So, from your perspective, can you tell us that when a person is so lost and so scared.

00:18:37.050 --> 00:18:41.029 Vennessa Cook: I remember I was scared to even click on anything. Yep.

00:18:41.030 --> 00:18:42.760 Jacinta Yang: At the chance that I might

00:18:43.090 --> 00:18:56.900 Jacinta Yang: break down the computer, or everything is gonna disappear on me, or everything is gonna black out. I think that was my biggest fear, where I was scared to click on anything. So…

00:18:57.160 --> 00:19:00.240 Jacinta Yang: When you have, mentees.

00:19:00.800 --> 00:19:07.299 Jacinta Yang: in that place. I guess when I met you, I was a little bit… little bit better than that clicking, stage.

00:19:07.690 --> 00:19:11.590 Jacinta Yang: But where would you… how would you get them to get started?

00:19:12.650 --> 00:19:36.119 Vennessa Cook: Personally, I like to identify if they have any areas that they'd like to get started with, because sometimes they might be very technologically adverse, but they have a general list of things that they're interested on where to get started, whether that is even just as simple as getting comfortable with email, or trying to learn how to write posts on social media. I like to…

00:19:36.120 --> 00:19:58.509 Vennessa Cook: identify where their skills currently are, and then kind of figure out, okay, what would you like to learn, to make sure that the learning feels more engaged, especially if you're teaching them something they want to know, versus only providing something optional. And then, as well, I find the best place to start, it's gonna sound really simple, but just getting really comfortable with things like emails.

00:19:58.510 --> 00:20:10.140 Vennessa Cook: Making sure that you understand what that general terminology, how it works, because once you kind of get started there, I find everything else just kind of falls into place and is significantly easier.

00:20:11.040 --> 00:20:14.060 Jacinta Yang: So, what was the simple skills…

00:20:14.450 --> 00:20:21.280 Jacinta Yang: For those of businesses like us that, like, you found that was very helpful for their businesses.

00:20:22.280 --> 00:20:46.840 Vennessa Cook: I find, something like Canva, it might not sound simple, it might sound really intimidating when you look at it, but Canva opens so many doors, I find, for small business owners, because it is such a great free platform to create your own visuals, to make posts the way that you want them to look, and it really can help and hold your hand while you're making said posts and while you're using the platform.

00:20:47.020 --> 00:21:08.590 Vennessa Cook: And I felt like once they mastered, or at least got their learning started on Canva, everything else seemed so much easier to them, because a lot of the language was the same on Canva that you would find on every other website, and I just loved them being like, oh, my gosh, Canva was… Canva was kind of intimidating, but this is so much easier, this is way better, I like this now.

00:21:09.340 --> 00:21:20.749 Jacinta Yang: So there are different, there's so many different apps out there, which I have to say is still, intimidating for me, and there's so many AI tools.

00:21:21.050 --> 00:21:28.410 Jacinta Yang: And… For those of us just starting, What would you recommend them?

00:21:29.620 --> 00:21:32.020 Jacinta Yang: What is the best way to…

00:21:32.300 --> 00:21:35.159 Jacinta Yang: Don't feel overwhelmed by all of this.

00:21:35.780 --> 00:21:47.230 Vennessa Cook: I find, honestly, going with some of the more popular, I'll say with air quotes, websites to start your own personal framework.

00:21:47.230 --> 00:22:09.020 Vennessa Cook: So, if you are interested in AI, start with ChatGPT. It's the one you are hearing the most about. It's very straightforward to use if you are interested in using ChatGPT and using AI in that fashion. Plus, as well, it can also recommend other various AI tools, depending on what your needs are, if you are asking the website for questions.

00:22:09.020 --> 00:22:31.859 Vennessa Cook: If, yeah, that is a great place to start with AI. Again, if you're really interested in creating your own social media posts, or making visuals for your business, whether that is flyers, cards, posters to hang up in your business, Canva is a really great tool, especially because it's free. I'm the biggest advocate for using any free website humanly possible. Things get really expensive online really quickly.

00:22:35.510 --> 00:22:46.850 Vennessa Cook: And so Canva's a great place getting comfortable with your social media platforms, whether it's Instagram, TikTok, find one and focus on just the one.

00:22:47.790 --> 00:22:57.429 Jacinta Yang: So, can you tell me, how do you see technology supporting, spiritual or creative work rather than taking away from it?

00:22:57.860 --> 00:23:15.419 Vennessa Cook: I find that it opens up your audience even more. I find, like, before, I would say that even TikTok was incredibly prevalent. People were interested in spiritual guidance, were interested in any holistic methods, but weren't sure

00:23:15.420 --> 00:23:40.270 Vennessa Cook: who to look towards, or where to go, or what website to look on, and the main hub was kind of maybe probably YouTube at the time. But now with even platforms like Instagram and TikTok, it's so much easier to open and find more people who might be interested in any spirituality or holistic healing. It's really fascinating to watch how much people have been able to learn and grow

00:23:40.270 --> 00:23:42.850 Vennessa Cook: With the presence of those kind of platforms.

00:23:43.580 --> 00:23:52.259 Jacinta Yang: So, can you tell us whether having… going into the digital world, is it possible for people to stay authentic?

00:23:53.050 --> 00:24:14.900 Vennessa Cook: Absolutely! You definitely can. I believe everything in moderation, especially with social media. We don't want you doomscrolling at 2AM, but it never hurts to try and find other people or like-minded individuals on said platforms. There's always going to be a community for you online, and it can be very easy to find, and

00:24:14.900 --> 00:24:16.710 Vennessa Cook: Use that to your advantage.

00:24:17.640 --> 00:24:25.470 Jacinta Yang: So, in your mentoring session, what is the most memorable Experience…

00:24:26.590 --> 00:24:51.580 Vennessa Cook: Definitely, I know, if it was with you, I'm gonna bring it up again, is watching you grow with something like Canva, because I remember you were… I had mentioned it to you really early on, because you were really interested in, like, adding more to your social media, and creating your own posts, and trying to get started from there. And I was like, okay, let's start with Canva, and I remember you feeling very intimidated at the start, and really nervous.

00:24:51.580 --> 00:25:16.519 Vennessa Cook: apprehensive, but I was like, no, let's just take it down bit by bit, let's learn what this tool does first, and then next this tool, and then how do these two tools work together? Okay, a third tool, and kind of slowly kind of making our way through the platform until you started to get really comfortable, and then I remember, I think it had been, we'll say, like, a couple weeks of us just kind of, like, going back and forth with it.

00:25:16.520 --> 00:25:35.849 Vennessa Cook: And all of a sudden, I got, like, an email from you in, like, the middle of the day, and I was like, look, Vanessa, I made my own post! Look at it, how do you think? And I was like, and it looked fantastic. And I was like, this is great! And it was just so great to see how much you had grown, and so quickly, and how eager you were to, like, share what you worked on, and then the second you had shared, you were like.

00:25:36.090 --> 00:25:41.420 Vennessa Cook: do this next, I want to work on this next, and you're so excited, just keep on going. I loved watching it happen.

00:25:41.600 --> 00:25:44.860 Jacinta Yang: And, I… I do remember that

00:25:45.540 --> 00:25:51.079 Jacinta Yang: every time somebody told me, oh, you should do this, and I'll say, Vanessa, this is what I need to do.

00:25:51.080 --> 00:25:51.710 Vennessa Cook: Learn.

00:25:51.710 --> 00:26:07.139 Jacinta Yang: Always. So, what was, like, I mean, I know we had this conversation before, at one time, and you had mentioned that I used to ask you so many things of, show me how to do this, show me how to do that.

00:26:07.170 --> 00:26:13.970 Jacinta Yang: And there were some things that you thought that you didn't… never done before, but you still showed me.

00:26:15.310 --> 00:26:22.710 Vennessa Cook: Absolutely, because I still wanted you to learn, and I knew you were eager to learn, and it would be a learning moment for both of us, so I was like, let's learn together!

00:26:22.840 --> 00:26:30.980 Jacinta Yang: So, so, what would you say are, sessions together? I know I learned a lot from you.

00:26:31.600 --> 00:26:36.710 Jacinta Yang: So what do you feel… you said that you learned from me, but what is it that you learned from me?

00:26:37.450 --> 00:27:02.329 Vennessa Cook: I learned… I think, as you mentioned earlier, it helped me increase my patience. I found that, it reminded me to learn to teach and be a very flexible teacher, or a very flexible mentor, because people learn in so many different ways, and you would have moments where I would explain things in one way that I was like, I'm pretty sure this'll work for her, and then you might turn around and be like, actually, I'm not quite

00:27:02.330 --> 00:27:24.670 Vennessa Cook: understanding, can you explain it in a different way? And I'd be like, okay, and I… it reminded me to pivot, and be, you know, more dynamic in my teaching, and more ready to be flexible, and it helped, as I said as well, it helped increase my flexibility to be like, okay, yeah, there… as I always say, there's not only one way to do something. Remind yourself that there's three different ways to do something on a computer.

00:27:25.060 --> 00:27:28.969 Jacinta Yang: Yeah, I was told that I used to have this blank look.

00:27:29.910 --> 00:27:33.960 Jacinta Yang: I mean, with my other mentor. So,

00:27:34.370 --> 00:27:37.820 Jacinta Yang: Did you see a lot of those blank places?

00:27:37.820 --> 00:27:56.219 Vennessa Cook: No, I would think… I never read it as a blank look, I read it as you thinking, and so it was just you, like, thinking and processing whatever I had just said, and I was like, okay, perfect, okay, I'm like, she's thinking, she's thinking, she'll tell me if she got it or not, and you were very open and upfront, like, that didn't make any sense, and I'd be like, perfect, let's try something else.

00:27:56.220 --> 00:28:03.029 Jacinta Yang: Yeah, because I remember with one other mentor who was teaching me about AI tools.

00:28:03.260 --> 00:28:16.330 Jacinta Yang: And I was really blank. Nothing was processing in my brain, and I gave her a blank look, and I just said to her, I didn't understand one word. And she saw this blank look on my face.

00:28:16.460 --> 00:28:20.790 Jacinta Yang: And later on, she told me, you know, when I saw that look.

00:28:21.180 --> 00:28:23.290 Jacinta Yang: I thought, oh, this poor woman.

00:28:23.390 --> 00:28:25.599 Jacinta Yang: I don't know how I can help her.

00:28:26.040 --> 00:28:30.340 Jacinta Yang: But after a month, she was surprised at,

00:28:31.380 --> 00:28:36.520 Jacinta Yang: at my progress. So basically, I guess what I want to say is that,

00:28:36.740 --> 00:28:40.340 Jacinta Yang: To the audience, even if you feel…

00:28:40.450 --> 00:28:47.720 Jacinta Yang: That you didn't get anything, and everything went above your head, and you totally feel, like.

00:28:48.170 --> 00:29:03.200 Jacinta Yang: I hate to say, sometimes, you know, I really felt dumb. Like, how could I not understand what they're saying? I know it's English, but I don't understand anything they're saying. This is a new language for me.

00:29:03.500 --> 00:29:10.510 Jacinta Yang: And, but I guess my purpose and… Intent.

00:29:10.920 --> 00:29:12.979 Jacinta Yang: for why I wanted to learn

00:29:13.360 --> 00:29:16.220 Jacinta Yang: Help me not give up.

00:29:16.670 --> 00:29:26.079 Jacinta Yang: Help me just, you know, I gotta do this. I've got to learn this so that I can be there. So many people…

00:29:26.430 --> 00:29:32.340 Jacinta Yang: have so much faith in what I do, the work I do, they want me…

00:29:32.470 --> 00:29:36.699 Jacinta Yang: to be out there to help many more. I think that was,

00:29:37.010 --> 00:29:41.570 Jacinta Yang: That was my driving force to not give up.

00:29:41.760 --> 00:29:53.540 Jacinta Yang: And, interestingly, what I found was I learned to actually like creating you know, they…

00:29:53.980 --> 00:30:01.340 Jacinta Yang: post on Canva. It's just, like, a creative tool. So, as a designer, I have the creative,

00:30:01.820 --> 00:30:05.389 Jacinta Yang: skills, so I'm just using it in a different way.

00:30:05.780 --> 00:30:11.030 Jacinta Yang: Anyhow, we are going into a break, we'll come back and share.

00:30:11.240 --> 00:30:13.840 Jacinta Yang: And continue on this, conversation.

00:31:58.160 --> 00:32:13.560 Jacinta Yang: Welcome back to Beneath the Calm. Thank you for joining us today. My guests are Vanessa Cook, my digital mentor. Before I carry on this conversation with her, I just want to share that,

00:32:14.190 --> 00:32:17.489 Jacinta Yang: We're never too old to learn something new.

00:32:17.780 --> 00:32:22.240 Jacinta Yang: And life will always… Present us challenges.

00:32:22.830 --> 00:32:28.239 Jacinta Yang: And we must be ready. And, be ready, willing.

00:32:28.430 --> 00:32:35.900 Jacinta Yang: To grow and learn, because when we do that, we can go so far in life.

00:32:36.400 --> 00:32:43.840 Jacinta Yang: A lot of times, things may seem intimidating, Scary.

00:32:44.340 --> 00:32:52.370 Jacinta Yang: But… I think, just face it, And just tell yourself, It's okay.

00:32:52.530 --> 00:32:55.649 Jacinta Yang: I can do this, and I will do this.

00:32:56.390 --> 00:32:59.910 Jacinta Yang: And so, basically, that's where my story

00:33:01.190 --> 00:33:07.680 Jacinta Yang: is, Vanessa gave me this Digital Wings, And,

00:33:07.860 --> 00:33:10.180 Jacinta Yang: I know that we're gonna be…

00:33:10.580 --> 00:33:13.129 Jacinta Yang: Working together a lot more.

00:33:13.520 --> 00:33:18.339 Jacinta Yang: As I still am learning to navigate through this,

00:33:19.560 --> 00:33:28.129 Jacinta Yang: this, I guess I would say this new world that we are living in, world of technology, online world.

00:33:28.410 --> 00:33:35.289 Jacinta Yang: Even though it is scary, and challenging. But when we…

00:33:35.700 --> 00:33:40.440 Jacinta Yang: Focus on the purpose and the mission that we have in our life.

00:33:40.910 --> 00:33:46.100 Jacinta Yang: Why we are here. What are we doing? What we want to do?

00:33:46.640 --> 00:33:52.070 Jacinta Yang: So we need to take that into consideration and adapt ourself

00:33:52.650 --> 00:33:55.619 Jacinta Yang: To what is in front of us.

00:33:56.150 --> 00:33:59.019 Jacinta Yang: And if we keep that focus in mind.

00:33:59.390 --> 00:34:09.020 Jacinta Yang: we will not be, I guess, intimidated. Even if we do feel intimidated, at least That driving force.

00:34:09.909 --> 00:34:14.699 Jacinta Yang: Of the purpose and mission will get us forward.

00:34:15.840 --> 00:34:25.120 Jacinta Yang: So… This space… It's about a conversation about life matters, and life…

00:34:25.830 --> 00:34:28.960 Jacinta Yang: Can take us in so many different directions.

00:34:29.280 --> 00:34:41.160 Jacinta Yang: We could have challenges with work, challenges with family, challenges… With anything that comes… Into our life.

00:34:41.880 --> 00:34:44.630 Jacinta Yang: Just embrace it with open arm.

00:34:45.130 --> 00:34:48.690 Jacinta Yang: And when we do that…

00:34:48.920 --> 00:34:59.160 Jacinta Yang: Challenges doesn't feel like challenges anymore, because you will take that as a lesson. A lesson to grow. A lesson…

00:34:59.550 --> 00:35:02.370 Jacinta Yang: to… Better yourself.

00:35:03.670 --> 00:35:09.839 Jacinta Yang: And, I'm glad that I've learned there's new skills from…

00:35:10.360 --> 00:35:14.960 Jacinta Yang: Vanessa, and the people that have pushed me into this world.

00:35:15.170 --> 00:35:20.400 Jacinta Yang: Because I feel now I can connect with so many more people.

00:35:20.990 --> 00:35:25.569 Jacinta Yang: And I have… I have been able to connect to people overseas.

00:35:25.910 --> 00:35:32.260 Jacinta Yang: And being able to… Offer my services online.

00:35:32.440 --> 00:35:37.869 Jacinta Yang: And be able to make a difference, even across the seas.

00:35:38.610 --> 00:35:45.280 Jacinta Yang: So, there's so much advantage. Sometimes, I know technology can be very…

00:35:45.500 --> 00:35:49.230 Jacinta Yang: Scary world, due to many reasons.

00:35:50.010 --> 00:35:59.940 Jacinta Yang: But if we concentrate on the benefits that it can have in our lives, We need to be… Open.

00:36:00.170 --> 00:36:01.350 Jacinta Yang: to learn.

00:36:01.910 --> 00:36:11.420 Jacinta Yang: So, welcome, Vanessa. Thank you once again, and… What would you be telling?

00:36:12.110 --> 00:36:13.760 Jacinta Yang: our listeners.

00:36:14.790 --> 00:36:20.410 Jacinta Yang: About… this… World of technology that you'd like to share, please?

00:36:20.830 --> 00:36:25.069 Vennessa Cook: I would say don't be afraid to learn,

00:36:25.550 --> 00:36:35.249 Vennessa Cook: When it comes to technology, a lot of us are still learning something new every single day, whether it is the quote-unquote experts in the field, or whether

00:36:35.250 --> 00:36:59.560 Vennessa Cook: It is somebody's first day with, like, a computer. Everybody is learning something new, so don't be afraid to learn something new. There are so many, so many great resources that are available online, or even in person, to help you learn and grow when it comes to technology and embracing it further.

00:36:59.710 --> 00:37:15.209 Vennessa Cook: So again, don't be afraid to try something new, and it may seem intimidating, I know I get intimidated, but I don't let the intimidation control me. I honestly embrace it to encourage me to learn more.

00:37:16.400 --> 00:37:19.829 Jacinta Yang: Thank you so much. And, I…

00:37:20.420 --> 00:37:34.509 Jacinta Yang: there's so much more. I think with this world, there's so much more we learn every day. I recall the time when I just started learning how to use my phone, and suddenly the,

00:37:34.680 --> 00:37:37.409 Jacinta Yang: updated it, and then I have to…

00:37:37.590 --> 00:37:41.329 Jacinta Yang: learn all over again, and it used to be, oh my god, I think I…

00:37:41.330 --> 00:37:44.239 Vennessa Cook: Probably drove my son crazy.

00:37:44.240 --> 00:37:50.309 Jacinta Yang: Before I met you, or anyone that is supporting me with this, digital world.

00:37:50.430 --> 00:37:53.310 Jacinta Yang: And, now I think back.

00:37:53.640 --> 00:37:58.860 Jacinta Yang: About, you know, for every little thing I used to call him, And…

00:37:59.350 --> 00:38:02.930 Jacinta Yang: Fortunately, at first, he was quite patient, too.

00:38:03.340 --> 00:38:08.240 Jacinta Yang: And, he used to actually set up my phone every time I get a new phone.

00:38:08.820 --> 00:38:12.279 Jacinta Yang: And, you know, I guess…

00:38:12.840 --> 00:38:18.349 Jacinta Yang: If we try to think technology as any other skills.

00:38:18.580 --> 00:38:23.080 Jacinta Yang: It could be cooking. Maybe somebody don't like cooking.

00:38:23.290 --> 00:38:27.409 Jacinta Yang: But they need to… Start cooking, right?

00:38:27.620 --> 00:38:31.590 Jacinta Yang: And there's so many resources out there,

00:38:31.700 --> 00:38:37.040 Jacinta Yang: YouTube, I think one of that is, great resources, for…

00:38:37.370 --> 00:38:43.830 Jacinta Yang: For people to learn as well, and I actually, I learned a lot learning how to go… Find…

00:38:43.830 --> 00:38:44.340 Vennessa Cook: feedback.

00:38:44.340 --> 00:38:46.639 Jacinta Yang: information on YouTube.

00:38:46.800 --> 00:38:50.479 Jacinta Yang: So, I just want to share a little bit,

00:38:50.650 --> 00:38:55.900 Jacinta Yang: A little bit about my journey. When I first met, Vanessa.

00:38:57.240 --> 00:39:08.080 Jacinta Yang: My client, Krista, was the one who created my website, she managed my website, and any emails that came through the website, because I didn't know how to even…

00:39:08.570 --> 00:39:14.230 Jacinta Yang: find my website, and it was Vanessa who showed me how to

00:39:14.340 --> 00:39:18.290 Jacinta Yang: I actually use the back end and manage.

00:39:18.830 --> 00:39:26.539 Jacinta Yang: My website, set up a lot of things, helped me set up different online profiles and different…

00:39:26.800 --> 00:39:29.450 Jacinta Yang: Social media platform.

00:39:29.850 --> 00:39:37.180 Jacinta Yang: So, if anyone feels intimidated by a whole slew of things that you need to learn.

00:39:37.550 --> 00:39:42.309 Jacinta Yang: Try, just take one… one little step.

00:39:42.810 --> 00:39:46.449 Jacinta Yang: One little portion of what you want to learn.

00:39:47.010 --> 00:39:51.390 Jacinta Yang: Get good at that, and then into the next.

00:39:51.650 --> 00:39:58.830 Jacinta Yang: I think that's what I've been doing myself. I… I know that at first.

00:39:59.120 --> 00:40:05.919 Jacinta Yang: it was, like, people telling me, oh, you gotta do this, you gotta do that, you gotta do this, you gotta… oh my god. Okay.

00:40:06.630 --> 00:40:13.169 Jacinta Yang: I… I took it in, and I think there's some mentors who felt that I was not paying attention.

00:40:13.370 --> 00:40:21.950 Jacinta Yang: But that was actually not true, because I did actually… Stored everything in my brain.

00:40:22.170 --> 00:40:33.710 Jacinta Yang: And eventually, as I got more comfortable in navigating through the usual stuff that we could do, I ended up

00:40:35.430 --> 00:40:43.160 Jacinta Yang: getting better at it, then I was able to go into my archive in my brain of what was taught to me.

00:40:43.390 --> 00:40:52.960 Jacinta Yang: And then I start to implement that. The important thing is that we need to implement everything we learn

00:40:53.590 --> 00:40:54.800 Jacinta Yang: Right away.

00:40:55.190 --> 00:40:57.840 Jacinta Yang: So that we don't forget what we learned.

00:40:57.960 --> 00:41:03.239 Jacinta Yang: And I know in, in cases like this, learning…

00:41:03.680 --> 00:41:09.319 Jacinta Yang: the skills was hard, because I would forget, but I was very fortunate that

00:41:09.510 --> 00:41:19.370 Jacinta Yang: I had mentors that were so patient that didn't make me feel bad for forgetting, and it says, okay, that's fine, let's start again.

00:41:19.610 --> 00:41:23.290 Jacinta Yang: So, anytime.

00:41:23.640 --> 00:41:27.420 Jacinta Yang: That you feel intimidated, and you feel you're struggling.

00:41:28.470 --> 00:41:33.659 Jacinta Yang: Don't worry, just… Tell the people that are teaching you.

00:41:33.990 --> 00:41:37.740 Jacinta Yang: Just be honest that you can't… comprehend.

00:41:38.070 --> 00:41:41.860 Jacinta Yang: Because if you don't tell them, they don't know.

00:41:42.250 --> 00:41:43.070 Jacinta Yang: Right?

00:41:44.590 --> 00:41:46.390 Vennessa Cook: That's super true.

00:41:46.390 --> 00:41:50.890 Jacinta Yang: So, we need… we need to be… bold enough.

00:41:51.480 --> 00:41:55.529 Jacinta Yang: to share that, yes, I don't understand this.

00:41:55.750 --> 00:41:58.369 Jacinta Yang: I didn't get a word.

00:41:58.870 --> 00:42:01.349 Jacinta Yang: Of what you said. I didn't understand.

00:42:01.670 --> 00:42:07.360 Jacinta Yang: So, in order to learn, we always need to be… Willing.

00:42:07.870 --> 00:42:10.679 Jacinta Yang: To feel vulnerable to share that.

00:42:11.150 --> 00:42:16.220 Jacinta Yang: Sorry. I mean… We cannot be good in everything.

00:42:16.760 --> 00:42:20.310 Jacinta Yang: But unless we learn, We won't know.

00:42:20.990 --> 00:42:26.609 Jacinta Yang: whether we're good at it or not, I have to admit that for years.

00:42:27.020 --> 00:42:30.539 Jacinta Yang: I would actually not want to learn.

00:42:31.180 --> 00:42:40.340 Jacinta Yang: technology. When my son was trying to show me something, I said, why would I need that? You're my tech support. I just have to call on you.

00:42:40.840 --> 00:42:47.579 Jacinta Yang: And, but that didn't get me very far, and of course, I probably frustrated him.

00:42:48.040 --> 00:42:52.279 Jacinta Yang: So what better way than we learn the skill ourselves?

00:42:52.430 --> 00:42:54.269 Jacinta Yang: And be independent.

00:42:54.650 --> 00:42:58.620 Jacinta Yang: And, well, there will always be something new.

00:42:58.800 --> 00:43:03.060 Jacinta Yang: To learn, and when that happens, Be open.

00:43:03.400 --> 00:43:06.949 Jacinta Yang: Be open, and be brave to ask.

00:43:07.690 --> 00:43:12.860 Jacinta Yang: Just don't be shy. When it comes to learning, we cannot be shy.

00:43:13.000 --> 00:43:13.820 Jacinta Yang: Right?

00:43:15.340 --> 00:43:25.549 Jacinta Yang: So, Vanessa, tell me… Have you had any mentees that had difficulty telling you?

00:43:26.990 --> 00:43:32.619 Vennessa Cook: Definitely. I think… I think a lot of people are nervous to admit that they are…

00:43:32.690 --> 00:43:50.830 Vennessa Cook: like, not understanding something, but I don't think that there's anything brave in hiding if you're struggling, so always, especially if somebody's trying to teach you something, don't be afraid to admit if you're struggling, then that way that they can help you along better, and get new steps to make sure that you do understand, and that it…

00:43:50.830 --> 00:43:58.150 Vennessa Cook: They are providing the best help possible, because they are there to help you, let them help you, let them know if you're struggling, or if you are understanding.

00:43:59.360 --> 00:44:05.430 Jacinta Yang: I think we are going to go on a break very shortly again, and we'll come back and,

00:44:05.810 --> 00:44:06.939 Jacinta Yang: Share some more.

00:44:07.440 --> 00:44:08.710 Jacinta Yang: Thank you.

00:45:40.980 --> 00:45:58.830 Jacinta Yang: Welcome back to Beneath the Calm. I'm so happy that you're all joining us today in today's episode of how we navigate through technology, digital world, and how Vanessa helped me find my digital wings.

00:45:59.220 --> 00:46:03.200 Jacinta Yang: And in… in the last couple years, I've learned a lot.

00:46:03.360 --> 00:46:08.500 Jacinta Yang: And I realized that in spite of having learned a lot.

00:46:08.810 --> 00:46:13.020 Jacinta Yang: I'm still not able to navigate this

00:46:13.270 --> 00:46:18.459 Jacinta Yang: Digital world completely on my own in order to grow my business.

00:46:18.760 --> 00:46:29.649 Jacinta Yang: So, of course, the best person I thought of to support me in my journey to help my business grow, as I have asked Vanessa to be my…

00:46:30.020 --> 00:46:35.860 Jacinta Yang: Digital support, and I'm so thrilled to say that she…

00:46:35.970 --> 00:46:42.950 Jacinta Yang: She said she's willing to help me in my business growth, but also what I wanted to share

00:46:43.400 --> 00:46:53.239 Jacinta Yang: is that I… would like… Vanessa, to be out there to help so many people like me.

00:46:53.510 --> 00:47:01.119 Jacinta Yang: That, need… to, I guess, navigate through this,

00:47:01.450 --> 00:47:11.390 Jacinta Yang: technical world. So, Vanessa, would you consider, doing something like that, offer those services?

00:47:11.520 --> 00:47:14.360 Jacinta Yang: To people that may be,

00:47:14.740 --> 00:47:20.459 Jacinta Yang: needing a support like yours, or your mentorship, and if they do.

00:47:20.650 --> 00:47:27.650 Jacinta Yang: How can they reach you? And, absolutely.

00:47:27.650 --> 00:47:44.229 Vennessa Cook: Absolutely. I love to help other people grow, whether it comes to digital marketing or even just simply being almost like a tech support. If you need it, the best way to reach out to me is through LinkedIn, under my name, Vanessa Cook.

00:47:44.230 --> 00:48:04.119 Vennessa Cook: I'm happy to answer any inquiries there, and we can discuss and figure out how I can best help you or your business, and I'm more than happy to provide any support. If you're looking for anyone who is gentle and patient, and you think you're asking silly questions, I personally don't believe in silly questions.

00:48:04.120 --> 00:48:08.569 Vennessa Cook: So, feel free to reach out to me, and I'd love to get to know more people.

00:48:09.470 --> 00:48:18.489 Jacinta Yang: So, Vanessa, can you please give a little bit more detailed rundown of how you can,

00:48:18.790 --> 00:48:22.189 Jacinta Yang: Support and teach, or mentor,

00:48:22.490 --> 00:48:26.540 Jacinta Yang: anyone that needs a skill. However, like I said,

00:48:26.670 --> 00:48:34.780 Jacinta Yang: For me, you've helped me with my website, you've helped me with my Calendly, Zoom link, I…

00:48:35.010 --> 00:48:49.030 Jacinta Yang: I still remember… I… actually, I still have struggled with the Zoom thing, because I… I was getting this, Zoom invite, and I would be clicking on the wrong thing, and I said, I can't get in. So, I think there's so much…

00:48:49.200 --> 00:48:57.720 Jacinta Yang: to it that it is, it's kind of scary, but I think, luckily for me, we had, what, two sessions a week?

00:48:58.070 --> 00:48:59.740 Jacinta Yang: And,

00:49:00.450 --> 00:49:08.370 Jacinta Yang: And it was… I was able to touch on so many things, right? So, I guess, in a way,

00:49:08.650 --> 00:49:11.600 Jacinta Yang: Would you be able to share

00:49:11.710 --> 00:49:15.519 Jacinta Yang: Like, kind of in detail, especially for people who…

00:49:15.710 --> 00:49:22.810 Jacinta Yang: may not be very new, I mean, who are very new to learning digital skills.

00:49:23.040 --> 00:49:28.260 Jacinta Yang: What are the things that you can actually… Oh, show them.

00:49:29.350 --> 00:49:54.329 Vennessa Cook: Absolutely. So, I have at least, like, at least 8 years of website developing and creation, whether it is from the ground up or coming on late to a project. So I can help you with your website, whether it is Wix, WordPress, Shopify, or even something custom-built, I can help you there, whether it is, again, simply just learning how to use said website, or if it is you wanting to build

00:49:54.330 --> 00:50:10.209 Vennessa Cook: the website, I can help you there. If you want, much like how Jacinta and I have come to help each other, if you want more of a digital mentor or somebody who can show you how to use your email better, how to use ChatGPT to the best of your success.

00:50:10.210 --> 00:50:30.649 Vennessa Cook: how to even learn how to edit videos on Canva, or edit pictures on Canva, I'm able to help you there. If you need a social media consultant, whether that is somebody who is helping you figure out how you can grow your business through social media, I can help you there. I like to say a lot of times that if it's digital, I can help.

00:50:30.650 --> 00:50:41.130 Vennessa Cook: And again, if you need even somebody with marketing help, and you need help with advertising your business online, I can as well help you there. I am…

00:50:41.130 --> 00:50:55.519 Vennessa Cook: very multifaceted when it comes to digital help and digital media. If you need help in any regard, probably no project is too small or too big. Just ask, and I'll be more than happy to see how I can best help you.

00:50:56.240 --> 00:50:59.509 Jacinta Yang: I am actually very excited to,

00:51:00.100 --> 00:51:03.269 Jacinta Yang: go on this journey with you, where I…

00:51:03.380 --> 00:51:05.939 Jacinta Yang: As I said, I'd like you to be with me.

00:51:06.160 --> 00:51:10.440 Jacinta Yang: In this journey of learn and, you know, growing my business.

00:51:11.160 --> 00:51:16.990 Jacinta Yang: I'll let you take care of the digital side of it while I do what I'm good at.

00:51:16.990 --> 00:51:19.320 Vennessa Cook: I mean, it's always good to know.

00:51:19.320 --> 00:51:24.949 Jacinta Yang: Ins and outs of… Whatever we do, so this way, at least.

00:51:25.240 --> 00:51:30.700 Jacinta Yang: We're not, like, stuck, not know what we're talking about or what we're doing.

00:51:30.910 --> 00:51:31.620 Jacinta Yang: But…

00:51:31.950 --> 00:51:40.200 Jacinta Yang: I also know that, this is not exactly my strength, even though I have learned a lot, and I feel…

00:51:40.300 --> 00:51:42.369 Jacinta Yang: I've gotten quite good at it.

00:51:42.700 --> 00:51:46.399 Jacinta Yang: But I don't want this to be taking away.

00:51:46.650 --> 00:51:51.179 Jacinta Yang: From my main goal of offering my healing.

00:51:51.360 --> 00:51:57.729 Jacinta Yang: services. So, would you say that if anybody would like you

00:51:58.090 --> 00:52:06.750 Jacinta Yang: To help them with their social media marketing, just, like, taking away a little bit of responsibility.

00:52:06.750 --> 00:52:08.000 Vennessa Cook: From there…

00:52:08.260 --> 00:52:09.180 Jacinta Yang: work.

00:52:09.600 --> 00:52:13.219 Jacinta Yang: That's something you can do, like, just that part.

00:52:13.830 --> 00:52:30.709 Vennessa Cook: Yep, definitely. I can help in all of those areas, as Racinta mentioned, as well, whether it's consulting, or even simply, like, a proper mentoring, or even tutorial sessions where I show you how to do these things yourself, I can 100% help in those areas.

00:52:31.140 --> 00:52:37.860 Jacinta Yang: While we're here, can you share your phone number and email for people to,

00:52:39.020 --> 00:52:41.760 Jacinta Yang: Jot down in case if they want to.

00:52:41.760 --> 00:52:43.480 Vennessa Cook: Again,

00:52:43.480 --> 00:53:07.560 Vennessa Cook: Yeah, for sure. Again, mentioning, best way to get into contact with me is through my LinkedIn, just to keep things professional. I'm more than happy to reach out to anybody who is interested through LinkedIn, if you have access to it. If you are apprehensive with LinkedIn, my email is by name, VanessaCook, the number 8, at gmail.com, and I'm, again, more than happy to help, and I definitely want to say thank you to Jacinta.

00:53:07.610 --> 00:53:14.580 Vennessa Cook: for having me on today. It was definitely a pleasure, and I'm having a great time. It's more of an excuse I get to talk to you some more.

00:53:14.730 --> 00:53:29.269 Jacinta Yang: Thank you. And I'd like to thank everyone that has joined us today, and I just want to remind you, we're never too old to learn something new, as long as we are willing and open to learn.

00:53:29.990 --> 00:53:37.439 Jacinta Yang: have an open mind, and this way, you just never know where life can take you. Just be open to learn.

00:53:37.690 --> 00:53:45.539 Jacinta Yang: And, thank you again, Vanessa, and I'm so looking forward to start a journey with you again.

00:53:45.890 --> 00:53:49.930 Jacinta Yang: Thank you, everyone. Until next time, love and light.
