Tammy Wise is a widely respected mind-body fitness expert, owner of BodyLogos, Inc., author of The Art of Strength: Sculpt the Body ~ Train the Mind, and creator of the BodyLogos App. A former Broadway dancer turned Tao minister, Tammy was voted the Best of Fitness by Time Out New York (twice!) and has appeared in Martha Stewart’s Whole Living magazine, New York Magazine, Natural Health, Shape, Thrive Global and more. She’s a Transformational Authors Contest Winner and regular contributor to Medium.

Sam introduces his guest Tammy Wise, owner of BodyLogos, Inc., Tao minister, and twice voted the Best of Fitness by Time Out New York. Tammy believes that tracking tension while strength training transforms that tension to strength.
Tammy’s journey began with her survival of sexual abuse. Dancing and stretching allowed her to feel more centered and in control of her body, it allowed her to stretch between earth and sky. Out of high school she began to professionally dance in Broadway productions such as A Chorus Line. She developed an interest in estern cultures while touring as a dancer. After retiring from dance she studied Chinese Herbology and that soon transformed into the study of Taoism. Tammy talks about the importance of self alignment and how it makes the flow of life more manageable. She teaches this alignment in a program called the Relaxed Strength Method.
Tammy chose the name BodyLogos because it means the body's divine wisdom and her job is training the body for inner strength. Her classes look like strength training but sound like meditation. With BodyLogos you are creating a positive change without compromising yourself. Tammy believes that strength is something you already have, it just needs to be unveiled. Before the break, Tammy teaches an exercise she calls the “Three Breath Reset.”
