He talks specifically about comorbidity between Epilepsy and Covid, talking about the effects of covid and how they can exacerbate symptoms of Epilepsy. He talks about the early days of COVID, and recaps the timeline by which the new normal we are all familiar with unfolded. Franks goes into detail about his own experience in the early days of COVID-19, while also being epileptic.
Frank returns, talking more about comorbidity, and COVID antibodies. He explains COVID strains, and the concerns about reopening that potential future strains may make worse, as it's still up in the air as to whether or not the COVID-19 vaccine will provide immunity to all strains of the virus.
Frank brings up the four different types of vaccines available: He focuses on Pfizer and Moderna since they are the two mRNA vaccines, explaining what the mRNA vaccines do as well as some of their current limitations. He reassures us that neither mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) have had severe side effects. After talking about vaccines, Frank moves on to bring up that Pfizer is currently working on a pill that people could take once they start exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. Returning back to the topic of vaccines, Frank reminds us that the purpose of the vaccine is to avoid transmission of the virus in addition to preventing us from getting sick.
After the break, Frank emphasizes how important flexibility is when it comes to managing a business during this pandemic. It’s a time of innovation, he says. He continues that he believes it’s important to remain open minded about where the solution may be as far as a COVID-19 cure.
