Sam Liebowitz, discusses all types of topics to help you raise your awareness.
This week, on The Conscious Consultant Hour, it's just Sam and you for the hour!
We all push ourselves sometimes. We push ourselves to accomplish things, we push ourselves to be better. Yet there is a fine line between pushing ourselves to do something and shoving ourselves to do more than is good for us.
Are you an over-achiever? Do you push when you can surrender? Let's talk about it together!

Sam begins with the quote of the day from The Universe and Abraham. The first quote illustrates the fact that we are stronger than any challenge that we may face in life. In reality, we are the ones who create these challenges, but that is just part of growing as a person. Every decision that we make impacts on how our life develops going forward. Sam goes back to the time when he was deciding on which college to attend and he believes his choice completely changed the trajectory of his life. The second quote focuses on the belief of going with the flow of life and positioning yourself into the best situations. When we learn to follow this and support ourselves it makes life much easier.
Sam starts by talking about the times he’s seen people around him push too hard and it becomes detrimental. There are times to push in life but this doesn’t need to be every single day. Sometimes this excessive pushing comes from our lack of faith in life. We can think that we know better than life, but that is an ignorant way of looking at things. Sam has learned to not push too hard and he has seen his life take amazing turns that he would’ve never imagined. This has completely changed the person that Sam was five years ago. This process all comes down to how well we know ourselves.
Sam returns to the show with an anecdote from his prior life in New York Real Estate and how life was trying to tell him it wasn’t for him. His prolonged negligence led to his business failing and him falling into debt. Life will inevitably show us the right path, but if we don’t listen to its signs and keep pushing it will push back. Sam mentions how when we release control to life he is met with support and direction from life itself. He can live life more wholly and satisfyingly. Sam goes on to mention when we need to forcefully but respectfully penetrate into something in life.
Returning to the show Sam mentions the balance between pushing and surrender and when one should do one or the other. When we surrender to life we are open to the energy around us and float on the currents of the rivers of life to take us places we couldn't ever imagine. Sam makes the distinction that we all share both male and female energies, and we need to be aware of when it is appropriate to use one or the other. It is important to realize situations where we lack power or influence. In these situations it’s important to surrender and accept the nature of it.
